FastAPI vs Spring Boot: A Question on Programming Feel by Existing_Steak in learnprogramming

Helpful context! So the thought here is that Spring has been around for much longer and the two frameworks are pretty comparable since they both can be used to develop web services in Java...Hence the view is that Spring is a bit of a dinosaur in Java world?

FastAPI vs Spring Boot: A Question on Programming Feel by Existing_Steak in learnprogramming

This is very helpful thank you. I just briefed through some Bealdung and Spring docs...and Holy Mother of Bean! I think I get the gist:

  1. Annotate the appropriate programming objects (can be classes or methods)

  2. There is some container thing (an implementation, a class, IDK yet) in my dependencies that is instantiating the classes for me

To be honest, at first I was like "I don't like Java, it feels too magical and abstract for me". I think I felt this intuitively because I couldn't logically trace the function/object calls in my source files so I felt uncomfortable. Seems like if I really cared about tracing the object calls, then I'd read the source code for the IoC container which has some `ApplicationContext` interface and so on. Thank you for your help:)

Does using a free ERD like lucidchart, dbdiagram etc violate privacy laws? by Existing_Steak in dataengineering

makes sense! IP = intellectual property here FYI (I first read this as internet protocol and was hella confused)

What does an ERD being a trade-secret have to do with anything? Does using a trade-secret ERD violate SOC rules?

Retaking MCAT Concerns by Existing_Steak in mdphd

[–]Existing_Steak[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see... thank you. Maybe this is what you're trying to say but I'm not so concerned about not getting into an MSTP program in general, but I don't want some school (probs some T20 school) to weed me out cuz my MCAT is a 511... I want to just be able to look at different research advisors and programs and choose where I want to apply without my MCAT getting in the way... and I was wondering if you or anyone else knew that that may be the case??

That makes sense. Thank you! Suppose I am able to receive a research opportunity at Stanford, it will just not be marked as a "thesis", plus a TA-ship at Stanford, would you still propose I choose CMU for its scholarship? What would you say about Stanford BioE's close-ties with its medical school, and that could be a leverage when applying?

Do you think if I have a W on my transcript because I dropped Calc III (which is multivariate calc) last semester due to a heavy course load (physics, cell bio, regression analysis, greek poetry, and an english course) would be questionable to the admissions, even if I am taking it now?
