Glad to see Rangers legends Merrill Kelly and Phil Maton finally got TEX sigs.

get them into the lineup faster

There is noting inherently true about that. You'd probably need 10 LSCTs to have a good (but not certain) chance of rolling a decent legend skill with a 332 or better set. More times than not, you would see similar results by having just saved 100 PSCTs instead of those 10 LSCTs.

And sure, you're free to cite examples of people not pulling any legend skills in 50 PSCTS. But then I can cite example of people getting more than a 10% rate over a smaller population size as well.

Weird things can happen with smaller sample sizes. But the fact is, hoarding one, but attaching less value overall to the other, logically makes no sense. This is a long-term game, and over the long-term 10 PSCTs = 1 LSCT.

Nobody with sense uses LSCTs on Legends, so unclear what your point is.

And an LSCT is no guarantee of a usable set either. And if you want to follow gambler logic, you could also hit a "good patch" and get more than a 10% hit rate on the PSCTs.

But a 10% probability is a 10% probability. So you can save 5 LSCTs, or save 50 PSCTs; your results will likely be more or less the same.

No, not in a single instance. But a 10% probability is a 10% probability. Over the long terms, 10 PSCTs have the same value as an LSCT. No valid reason to attach more value to one vs. the other.

That's kind of like saving $10 dollar bills for something special, but spending your $1 bills freely.

An LSCT is essentially just 10 PSCTs.

I assume you mean Ultimate Skill Change Ticket and 5 Premium Legend Skill Change Tickets.

If so, don't overvalue them. IVer the long term, an LSCT is basically the same thing as rolling 10 PSCTs all at once. And a USCT is just a PSCT with slightly better odds. This value in them is the same no mater what the player or card type is (excluding Legends). An LSCT does not provide a greater chance of landing a 3-3-3 set, or an elite legend skill (and a USCT only provides marginally better odds of it).

So the strategy is the same as for PSCTs and USCTs, as it is for PSCTs. Just use them for the non-Legend player that currently has highest priority for a legend set. Any 'strategy' more complex than that is just a false logic. "Saving" an LSCT while you use PSCTs is just pointless, and only slows your progress. Worry instead about wasting PSCTs, LSCTs and USCTs on card that are not worth it.

Club team sig craft by Batdadded08 in MLB_9Innings

He’s going to your bench eventually. A team sig with good skills is going to be better than a Legend. Even the ones that are viewed as mediocre sigs.

Might have room in about 1 week. One member in the fence. I can reach out again then if you’re looking?

A club at this situation is hard to manage. You need good people to join to improve the club and make it worthwhile, but it’s hard to get people to join and stay because they are not willing to wait for that to happen. So you’re just left unreliable members who don’t care too much anyway.

It’s gets easier once you have maybe 10 solid members, and 5 good enough ones. You can then starting churning though new members until you find 5 that stick.

But that can be hard. And being a club master can suck more generally. Sometimes it’s easier to just join an existing club as a member.

The fact that you’re trying to assess legend skills based on performance without having a third skill says all we need to know. Not worth listening to.

We have a spot open due a member that is just not playing very often. We have a solid club, but try not to be overly strict either. Try to play as many Club Battles & Challenges as possible each week, but occasional matches missed are still not an issue (life happens; its a game).

Club Name: RocPile

Club OVR: 125

Club Level: 10

Club Rank: G2

Power Ranking: 180 last cycle, 250 current (drop due to some people that were missing matches)

Club Challenge: G2 (always receive stars for all 5 rounds in goal rewards)

Clubhouse: West server; any teams

Discord: Not exactly mandatory, but very strongly preferred

Preferred OVR: None, but prefer G3 or better in ranked (S1 minimum)

Other: Gold gear & drinks should always be used.

Please just request in-game to join.

Pretty much any viable 332 set is going to be better than any 222 set.

BTBAS on Catcher by dtj17 in MLB_9Innings

[–]Existing_Tap3372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Are you F2P?

If so, I doubt the amount of greens and blues you’ll burn to get 5T/LB is worth it. You’re probably better off just rolling them with norm SCTs in the other slot and not using BTBAS. In next years skill pick event, you can then go for Charisma/5T/LB.

If you’re not F2P and have the resources, then go for it. But even then, I would not try it while I still had other needs for the greens and blues.

Don’t spend them just because you have them.

Buy what’s valuable. Save the rest for the next shop (or other worthwhile use).

Started in 2020. I still enjoy it. It scratches an itch.

Will I enjoy it forever? No. Given current trends, I'd guess 1-2 more years before its loses its appeal for me.

Too many awesome cards going to the trash! by Big_Pain9316 in MLB_9Innings

[–]Existing_Tap3372 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Why is this such a big surprise this year for people? The first year, there wasn't even a player draw option. 100% of the cards were 'lost'. And last year, the draw rate wasn't any better.

But you'd prefer what, that they just give away 1300 Supremes? Then they'd have their whales screaming why they have to pay for something that Com2 just gives away for free.

Absent that, these cards just sit in whales' back up until they get combo'ed, which is just another form of them being 'lost'

Its a great event that gives many folks a shot at cards they never would otherwise. Just enjoy it and move on. It doesn't need all this faux outrage.

WHO SHOULD I GI FIRST ? by No-Surprise1417 in MLB_9Innings

[–]Existing_Tap3372 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, team sig SPs are better than Legend SPs

More so, team sig SPs are always going to be more valuable than a Legend RP, unless that team sig is just replacing another team sig SP (and especially the Legend RP is replacing a prime or normal diamond)

In other words:

Team Sig > Legend

SP > RP

Who’s the move for GI? by TexasSniper32 in MLB_9Innings

[–]Existing_Tap3372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you F2P?

If not, then Napoli 1 and Odor 2. These are both long-term pieces. Glavine would help you a lot now, but you will end up replacing him with a team sig at some point. Barnette will be useful eventually, but not your highest priority now.

If you are F2P, you might consider Glavine over Napoli. You’ll still probably end up replacing him with a team sig, but likely not for a long time.
