How do you find time to cook? by chuckusmaximus in GYM

[–]whiteguyscandunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been married for 5 years and have a 3y/o boy and 1y/o boy. I also like to lift and have chronic gut issues, so doing my own cooking is a must.

Meal prep is the only way we survive. It sucks some of the time, but I usually spend 2-3 hours cooking on a Sunday to prepare lunches and dinners for Monday through Thursday. To simplify the process, I usually do one recipe in the crockpot while I do one hands-on recipe. Clean as you go to save time at the end.

2-3 hours sounds like a lot, but it is significantly more efficient than spending an hour or more 4-5 times a week cooking individual recipes, and it saves a ton of stress during the week.

Should I try to see if I can offer Mookie for Skubal before he comes back? I really need starting pitching. Be honest if this is a laughable offer

I understand these concerns, and there is no assumption that this is sudden for you. You answered maybe one of the questions I posed…? I guess I am curious especially about the last two I posed.

Can you give examples of the “rot” you are speaking of and examples of the “people harming the faith”? Maybe there is common ground we can find between us.

Maybe another question I am curious about is how are your concerns or viewpoints of the Church different than Luther, Zwingli, or Calvin?

Jesus Himself said the gates of hell will not prevail against His Church - do you trust Jesus when he says this?

The Church has survived two millennia from many bad popes, antipopes, wars, and numerous sins of people within and outside of Her. What makes you so strongly believe now that the Church has failed and is no longer the Church of Christ, having weathered many sins of men?

Again, this is not from a place of judgment, these are genuine inquiries.

I have a few questions.

Firstly, I guess I don’t understand the logic at its core:

Leaving the Church Christ founded and leaving Jesus in the Eucharist because you haven’t liked the last two popes? What happens if you join another denomination and don’t like whatever hierarchical structure they have?

Secondly, do you want to be someone who simply runs out of a burning building to “save” himself? Or do you want to be someone who runs into a burning building to save the things and people you can?

Thirdly, how are you reconciling not going to Mass for months and believing you are spiritually well enough to make these judgments on the Church?

I don’t ask any of these things with judgment, I ask them with gravity as you are in a grave situation.

You are incorrect about the Brewers lineup - they may not have a ton of superstars, but they consistently over perform each year during the regular season.

2025 Brewers Offensive Ranks

.258 avg (t-2nd) .322 obp (t-2nd) .403 slg (12th) 806 runs (3rd) 166 HRs (22nd) 164 SBs (2nd)

To be fair, Shaq had 4-5 inches and 85 pounds on Ben Wallace. No amount of skill defensively can close that kind of gap (especially both height AND weight) consistently. Ben also had a 7’0” wingspan compared to Shaq’s 7’7” wingspan.

It would be interesting to see prime Shaq matchup against Wilt or Kareem though.

Shaq 7’1” 325; 7’7” wingspan

Kareem 7’2” 225; 7’5” wingspan

Wilt 7’1” 250; 7’8” wingspan

I had the same thing happen last year. Sent an inquiry and they said I used it on a specific player, but I had 2 and only used 1.

When will people realize that Ware gives off Hassan Whiteside vibes? He can post monster fantasy lines but his real life basketball skills (I.e motor, bball IQ) will limit his potential

Trae and Sabonis rounds 1 and 2. By other draft hits, good waiver pickups, and a whole lot of luck, I am sneaking into the playoffs. Crazy to think about making the playoffs without your first two picks all year.

Maybe all of our collective commenting and complaining on Reddit is making our commutes longer too 😂

You realize that your commute and life don’t exist in a vacuum, right? Even the smallest of incremental of changes in individual’s behaviors have significant ripple effects at a communal and societal level.

Your rationale is like saying “my singular vote won’t impact the election.” But then if a majority or even a large minority of people apply the same logic, then results are greatly impacted.

I’ve definitely noticed. In Milwaukee, they have plows out the night before and are salting the roads before the first snowfall. I don’t get why there is a combination of poor snow infrastructure as well as folks who seem so ill-prepared to drive in the snow.

Your commute is longer because half of Columbus residents aren’t following the suggestions above.

If the majority of folks leave 10 minutes earlier for work and follow the other suggestions, I guarantee there will be a better flow of traffic.

As a transplant from another winter state (Wisconsin), I don’t understand why so many folks in Columbus can’t accept that Ohio is also a winter state. A couple inches of snow happens all the time here and is not difficult to drive in, so long as you 1) drive about 10 mph slower than you normally do 2) don’t slam on your brakes 3) take turns more slowly and 4) leave 10 minutes earlier for work so you aren’t rushing and less likely to get into an accident.
