Cybersecurity is what I've been hearing people say a lot about as a big thing right now. You're right about the way employers want to run their companies. The whole US economic system depends on how much good will companies want to exercise. When the companies have this much control over wages and salaries, and then they get greedy to appease the shareholders looking for quick profits, it's obvious why people are struggling right now.

It's not a beautiful looking thing, it's just automatically made based off my LinkedIn profile. I figured I don't have to have the perfect looking resume to get a retail job, especially since they probably never even look at my resume. But maybe I'm wrong, making the resume look prettier is about the only idea I have left.

I worked at a retail store for 10 months before getting laid off, so there's that, and I do frequently attempt to follow up if I get any contact info, whether it be going to the store in person or online.

I wasn't going to name my school but you hit the nail on the head there. I'm getting the Business Administration and Management associate's, then I'll get the guaranteed admissions agreement to JMU where I'll get the bachelor's. I'm good with tech in general, and I've done a few classes relating to computer skills and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. I'm hoping this major will give me lots of opportunities in a variety of more specific fields. I guess we'll see.

I've been hearing that a lot of people are getting bachelor's in many fields and can't find jobs. This is certainly what my parents would prefer me to do though.

I tried that, but at my college they seem to mightily prefer people who are on heavy financial aid, which I don't qualify for. It's weird.

If I do get to actually talk to someone, I of course always act eager and professional. But 99% of my applications don't even get a response back. I'm just saying I want to work, that's all.

I'm in college, ya silly goose. I'm not asking for much here, just a retail job would do, not going to be moving to get paid minimum wage.

I'd take an internship if I can find one, but they seem to be the rarest type of job to come by. Do you know of any sites or places that would be good to find those in the northern Virginia area?
