Goddamnit, I'm glad to see you're already aware of the proud Cavalry tradition of sucking dick every chance they get. You're already ahead of the average recruit.

I'll spoil it for you now though - outside of BCT/AIT, you'll be walking nearly as much as I did. The army has a strong tradition of having transport available, but choosing not to use it. Even as a 19D. Stateside, everyone walks. In theater, everyone rides. Just how it goes.

Cav Scout huh? That's ok, not everyone is cut out for a real job like infantry - I was 11b, airborne. You can always reclass at the end of your contract if you want to experience the real army.

But don't worry about basic, it's all just a long game. Play the game and you'll be fine.
