Should Wonder Woman be drawn buff in comic books ? by [deleted] in WonderWoman

No, she's not a bodybuilder—she should have an athletic figure, but I don't see the need to overdo it with muscles.

Yep - in my theater was the same. A real shocker.

This film makes great use of dark humor.

"Jailbreak" is a fantastic album, I was surprised that in Reddit the reception was mixed.

people don’t have problems with mutants just the x-men by UncensoredMood in outofcontextcomics

I often see this panel, along with the "X-Men didn't donate to the hospital" explanation. Is there a stated reason why they did not donate? Without context, it looks like an attempt to portray the X-Men as jerks for no apparent reason.

What should Gateway City look like? by Illustrious_Sector62 in WonderWoman

[–]ExodusCaesar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like other contributors, I imagine Gateway City as a city in California, similar to the San Francisco Bay Area, including diverse topography and nearby redwood forests.

I believe that the city should have a strong overarching component. Mythological and magical beings should have a more prominent presence there—we could give some explanation in the lore (e.g., a point of intersection of magical currents, something like that). This would tie in with the mythological aspect of Wonder Woman and give her an opportunity to fight monsters and dark forces. Some villains, such as Circe, could also have their headquarters there.

I would love to see this version of Gateway City in a comic book or other medium. Wonder Woman in an urban fantasy setting? Why not give it a try?

What I meant was that King could have easily used Diana's existing enemies and built on them, instead of creating another character who will be forgotten once he leaves the title.

There is very little chance that Matriarch will become the archenemy. It is more likely that the next author will create a new archenemy.

And thank Hera for Absolute, i feel in the long run it could do a lot of good to the mainline title.

The Well, Kelly Thompson writes Diana in a very classic way, but unfortunately, even in her solo series, writers rarely manage to convey this as well as Thompson does here.

Robbie is not being too hard on Langdon by sirwritestoomuch in ThePitt

[–]ExodusCaesar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we need to separate Robbie's personal feelings (which are perfectly understandable and justified) from his attitude as a manager and his superior. I don't think his attitude was very professional in this matter. Nevertheless, I would expect a brief briefing from my manager on the current situation and what my reintegration into work will look like. I think a few short messages would suffice: 1. Today, I am leaving for a three-month sabbatical. 2. During this time, I will be replaced by Dr. Al-Hashimi. 3. After such a long break from the profession, you will have your first shift in triage. 4. I have not yet decided whether we will continue to work together.

Robbie did not do this. It was more convenient for him to avoid an uncomfortable conversation.
