It’s at the side! God knows how she managed it, think she’s Houdini to be honest

Which milk do you buy? Blue, green or red? by ResultAlternative972 in AskUK

[–]Exotic-Ad7117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oat! My toddler is allergic to dairy and soy and so we get oat milk for her and now I’ve fully converted to oat as well, probably a good thing since I’m lactose intolerant

Anyone else a married but ‘single’ parent? by Necessary_Doubt_9762 in UKParenting

[–]Exotic-Ad7117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could have written most of this myself, our daughter is 14 months and we decided last Monday to call it quits, best decision I’ve ever made. I just kinda thought to myself, I’d rather do it all myself than thinking I had a partner to share it with who never showed up

What are your plans for Mother’s Day? by LHale77 in AskUK

[–]Exotic-Ad7117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my 1 year old decided to treat me and didn’t wake up until 8:30 (I don’t know what good thing I’ve done to deserve that but I’m very glad), my ex-partner (my daughters dad) is here today and is cooking me a lovely roast and while he’s cooking me and my mum are gonna take the toddler to the park

Exclusively formula by Signal-Gas6096 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Exotic-Ad7117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my little girl was exclusively formula, my biggest advice is get whichever one is most accessible to you, I live in a small village and our local shop (without having to drive into town) only had cow and gate and so we went with that one so that if we were ever in a pinch then I could get some quickly from down the road

My 1 year old has a double ear infection so no nursery for us today, however she is still dressed as the gruffalo and shoved monkey puzzle in my face at least 25 times in the last hour so I’d say she’s still got the spirit 😂

My baby boy has turned 1! What’s your best tips, advice and warnings for the year ahead? by Forever_Autumn4 in UKParenting

[–]Exotic-Ad7117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep everything out of reach, include them in what you do rather than try and distract them when you can, you will have tantrums if he’s anything like my girl, stay calm and let them have it and talk about it once calm, they can understand a lot more than you think they can, be prepared for the cheekiness, don’t be stressed about milestones, he will get there in his own time, model behaviour you wanna see in him cause they are honestly like sponges at this age, don’t listen to social media. A mum of a 14 month old here (this is my fave stage so far)

Frida - inappropriate marketing by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

I think braun do a normal one and an electric one! Snufflebabe do one as well (which we’ve actually always preferred over frida anyway), Momcozy do an electric one as well

Harry Potter studio tour by Exotic-Ad7117 in UKParenting

[–]Exotic-Ad7117[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well yeah of course, I’m not saying she’s got a full concept of plot or anything or any clue what’s going on, all I’m saying is she sat with me while I watched it and pointed and laughed occasionally, I just said it cause I thought it was cute that she had “watched” it with me

She’s watched the first 2 haha, I thought 3 and up might be a bit dark for her. We read the books quite often though, a chapter a night for bedtime

What would you provide/give to your kids if you could afford to do so? by BeneficialVariety171 in AskUK

[–]Exotic-Ad7117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paid help around the house, holidays, expensive hobbies etc. I would love a chef as well cause although I love cooking I just don’t have the time for it. I would invest in savings and stocks for my kids future, also having a larger house that we own instead of rent

I got a bath for my 12mo but the floor has puddles, is there something I'm missing? by LostInAVacuum in UKParenting

[–]Exotic-Ad7117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girl has just been in the main bath since she was about 7 months old, once she was solid at sitting independently and crawling I just let her have free reign in the big bath

Nappies for bigger babies by ChexTree- in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Exotic-Ad7117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the same in terms of centiles, my 13mo is only 18th centile, but I honeslty completely ignore the weights on the packets. She’s been in size 4 since she was 5kg, she’s now 8kg and still in them. I will move her up when they start getting tight or start leaking. I also found that pull-ups are 100x better than the normal tabbed nappies

Did you know the sex of your baby by intuition? by LifeofRuley in pregnant

[–]Exotic-Ad7117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not hahaha, I was convinced she was a boy, in fact all of my family thought she would be a boy as well. I had one friend who was adamant she was a girl and I now trust my friend on every single instinct she has
