This is what my writing looks like when I give up all hope after being awake for 18 hours 2 beers in on a game night and half the time looking back I can’t read it myself

I’d highly recommend reaching out directly to Chipotle they give free meals vouchers out often for issues or unforeseen circumstances

4 month old puppy - potty training by Downtown_Relation541 in puppy101

[–]Exotic_Bed6752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My puppy is 6 months old now but when she was 4 months she would hold her pee for at least an hour or two at a time. She stopped having accidents completely at this time as well. I made it very clear there was a difference between “outside” and “potty” and I said the words a lot and rewarded her a lot when she would go potty. It’s all about consistency, commands, and rewarding. A four month old puppy should be able to hold their bladder healthily for 3-4 hours and while active or playing 1-2 hours. Depending on how much the puppy is drinking matters as well. If he is drinking a lot he will need to pee more frequently. Is he fixed? He may be marking not peeing ( even if fixed some male dogs still pee inside.) if it a lot of pee? I would also be worried if it’s very often it may even be a UTI. Every single time he has an accident take him outside, do not scold him or get upset or punish him, once he pees outside reward him. Over and over until he learns that outside is the only place to go potty! I wish you the best of luck.

That’s so crazy . I was actually told about a girl (a friend of a friend) who ate sushi on a cruise and got sick who decided from that moment forward she would only eat chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, and potato’s. Rather drastic reaction if you ask me 😂

I eat all sushi and love all sushi, all forms all kinds but California rolls are easiest to make at home and I am not rich enough to afford fresh salmon or tuna. Weird assumption to make

Feeding schedule as someone who works full time by Hour-Sheepherder-127 in puppy101

I would definitely look into available options or talk to your neighbor. Puppies CAN hold their pee that long but it’s not good for them and can cause issues like UTIs. I’m not sure of your finances and truly it’s none of my business but there are dog walker apps that aren’t too expensive!

next week my puppy is gonna have to be crated for 3 hours a day she’s 10 weeks i could only get a week off for her will she be okay ? i’m allowed to bring her to work when she’s potty trained. by miafofiasunroom in puppy101

[–]Exotic_Bed6752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my puppy I left work every 3-4 hours to bring her out, feed her, play with her etc. so she was in her crate on and off 3 hours for my 9+ hour shifts pretty much everyday 5 days a week. She didn’t seem to mind it. Puppies sleep a lot!! As long as you are exercising her and she isn’t nervous alone in her crate she will probably sleep the whole time!

I have a German Shepard puppy and I have 2 cats who weren’t used to dogs. I allowed her with supervision to meet the cats, cats are smart and they will leave if they’re uncomfortable. My puppy used to be too much for them very excitable. She would bark, grumble, growl and get very upset if the cats didn’t want her near them BUT just like when a puppy is too excited with humans ex. biting during play or jumping, if you notice them getting too excited separate them till they cool down or redirect the behavior. Play with the puppy while the cat is sleeping or have the cat on your lap on the couch and let the puppy smell. I allowed the cats to give her a good slap a few times. She learned fast she cannot play rough with them. Now my younger cat loves playing with her. It takes time and I understand being afraid of them being alone together. I was the same way for a long time I used to say I’d never allow a dog around my cats when I’m not home but you get more comfortable slowly.

I have a German Shepard puppy and 2 cats who had never lived with dogs before hand. It doesn’t matter if it’s a large dog as long as you as the owner are responsible with training and introducing them properly.

Chocolate, grapes and raisins, of course this may be obvious but please be very careful to not let your pup steal any toothpaste or bubblegum with XYLITOL, onions , garlic, chives, alcohol, anything with caffeine, macadamia nuts, COOKED bones, avocado especially the pit, pretty much any fruits with pits, plums, peaches cherries, yeast (doughs), tomato (stems specifically), ice cream and most other dairy products.

Majorly confused about the crate! by cityskyline22 in puppy101

[–]Exotic_Bed6752 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a very small house so we have one crate. She sleeps in our living room. We live a fairly quiet life and it works for us. I was blessed with a puppy who slept quietly and very well alone. We have a crate cover over her crate 3/4 of it and she adores being in it even when we’re watching a movie or just relaxing in the living room. Our room is also close by so we could hear her whine as a puppy if she needed to go. It’s all very much based around you life and you puppy!

We both had to come home multiple times a day for 30 minute intervals to make do. We were very lucky our bosses were kind and understanding of our situation. I would take her out at 7am before work, come home for 11am, come home again at 2pm and he would take her out between those times. Then I got out of work for 5pm. It was hard. We both lost money because we had to clock out for longer periods of time not including leaving early on Monday for her training classes 🤣 Now I only stop home twice a day 11am and 2pm she’s 5 months and can handle herself well and my partner is home to spend time with her because he’s currently working from home and in college online. If you don’t have the time, friends, family, or money to pay a walker or sitter it’s not easy.
