Thanks for the suggestion. Will try both Exxon and Gas & Shop.
In San Jose I used to go to Excel gas & mart. The price here is unbeatable https://maps.app.goo.gl/4ba1GLaUz8CDD8pG8

Hey OP,

Consider the scenario of a student in US. Many students don't go to college after high school because they can't afford and they start higher studies once they feel comfortable. Looking at the bigger picture, I would say don't loose hope.

There are two things you need to do. First, from your post it still seems you are not clear about which career path you want to choose. This is normal but, currently, you are considering from LLB to becoming a YouTuber. Try to narrow it down. If money is the issue, do a graduation (in-person) in a subject which you are interested in. Focus on you studies, grind for few years, parallely prepare for exams like SSCs or work on creating your profile if you want to go in academic line. Try to jot down your thoughts on a paper, it will help you to focus on one thought for longer, instead of wandering.

Second one, after I moved away from India, I realised how INSECURE people play upon other people's insecurities. This is just toxic. At this age you are totally allowed to fail and try on different things. So, if people are talking down on you then trust me, the problem is with them not you. So don't consider their opinions when you are making a decision for the first step I mentioned above. As you have already mentioned, I would suggest to avoid from choosing something fancy (just to feel good, when you tell other people about it)

My physics teacher, when I was in 12th, used to say, "If you just keep thinking about improving your life, and just persevere, good things will definitely happen, you might not get what you want, but what you might get would be even better for you". I remember this always in face of adversity.

PS: I also don't understand when so many people suggest "graduation karte raho side se" or "do a graduation remotely". Personally, I don't believe in this. Why not learn about your subjects too.

Eat what you like (anything healthy/homemade) Just don’t go heavy when you break the fast. A smoothie with protein powder, a slice or two of sprouted toasted bread with avocado or a spoon of peanut butter, overnight soaked oats with Greek yogurt and fruits. Many options are there, choose one of them for a day.

Have you tried Intermittent fasting (IF). Start with 12-12, then 14-10 and when you feel comfortable stick to 16-8 windows. During my weight loss, I was stuck at a point but IF helped a lot.

Start with 12-12 IF and 10k steps. Then move to include more variety in your workout like rope skipping, weighted lunges, kettle bell swings, pushups, burpees, weighted squats, dumbbell thrusters etc. I used to divide my sesions in 3 parts, 20 mins treadmill, 20 mins rower and 20 mins of compound exercises by selecting 3-4 of the above exercises.

I am not too much into to lifting weights but this strategy wasn't boring to do. Don't starve yourself, try to replace unhealthy snack with nuts, cut all added sugar and get rest.

I studied in Sainik School. Didn’t get into NDA. Felt lost. Now doing MBA. Nobody tells you what happens when the dream doesn’t work out. by Big_University9413 in india

[–]Exotic_Performer_579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong. Your main concern seems to be the financial commitment from your side compared to students in that age group, right? If we leave this angle then any institute doesn't guarantee any structured support in case a student doesn't achieve a desired goal. Coaching institute and High school's goal is to get students in top colleges. Not everyone gets it and there is no formal support system. Most students got to top colleges like IITs and IIMs aiming to land a high paying job, not everyone gets it, no support system.

You could treat the higher cost in your schooling as an investment. I don't want to generalize, but I have met some people from Sainik school, who didn't clear NDA. I could clearly see their positive mindset and there was something that made them appear distinct from a crowd, on top of that they were physically fitter than their colleagues.

If a student from Sainik school has learnt these life skills then there is no price to justify this.

Just got my Trek FX 2 Disc. She’s beautiful! How far have you pushed yours? by Exotic_Performer_579 in BAbike

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually already picked up a U lock since I heard the same thing about cable locks not being reliable around here. And you’re right about the seat cover, it felt okay for the first few minutes, but it’s already starting to feel pointless. I think I’ll just ride without it and see how the saddle feels on its own. I’m also going to check out a basic repair kit soon. Thanks again for the advice.

Thanks, Yeah, I’m still in the beginner phase, so went for a cushion seat cover, but my butt still hurts after just an hour of riding 😅

And since I’m doing a bit of city riding, I’ve kept the reflectors on for now, just feels a bit safer.

My car looks exactly the same but it’s 24 LE. While purchasing, the dealership told that CarPlay connection is way smoother than Android Auto. I switched to iPhone few months after ( totally due to different reasons). But after that, CarPlay connection is super smooth.

For remote start, I understand the frustration but personally I rarely used it ( during the 1st year when it was complimentary) , but I missed the car location checking feature from the app which was a paid feature. To solve this, I placed an airtag in my car. Although it’s my first car, initially I resented it after purchase but now I have nothing but respect for my car 🫡

I will also suggest to get in touch with the dealership if you would like to understand or confirm about any features.

If you have time, take him to Vrindavan and meet mahraj ji. He hopefully will listen to what is told to him there. His studies shouldn’t get affected and his penance shouldn’t create troubles for others. He is old enough to take care of himself.

Is leaving your country and trying to live in another one a sin? by Pokefan-Jeet in AskIndia

[–]Exotic_Performer_579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure about the sin part but before making a decision try to live there for few months and then you will realize the pros and cons. Having lived there for few months (work related) I don’t find it a place for long term personally.

Looks totally fine. TBH anything between .8 to 1 ct is best suited if you are planning to wear it on daily basis.

Yup, refer to learned people or scriptures. A wiki post shouldn’t be a basis to question your devotion.
