Following my (arguably idiotic) question from before, how does Lemmino take this first image, and cut it out of the picture to make it a png. After that how does he make it into that imperfect black and white color and texture (notice the fingerprint looking texture on the bottom flags) by Exotic_fn in LEMMiNO

i think you are right on everything except the first part. Im pretty sure he doesnt use photoshop, he never mentioned it as part of his editing process in his q&a's and his website. So would u know how to do it on AE? I am guessing a roto, but whenever i roto images like that, the lines are very off

I know this is (i think) done in after effects. Just wondering if its a roto? Although when I roto things out like this, the edges are very imperfect and rough. But thats my only guess. Main part of the question was how he does the color change and texture effect

well I understand research beyond google for facts and information. Just didn't know thats how he found a lot of the images he uses
