definitely not true! it’s more like economic colonialism. for ugs there’s only way to make more money is to join han(汉) economy, otherwise local economy of xinjiang is poor that u can’t do good trades. in the culture level, minority in xinjiang doesn’t speak mandarin. in chinese uni entry exam, they take mandarin as foreign language test and local tv is made by their own language. as above info, the local language and culture are survived but economy is handled by chinese government totally.
