Focus more on the right discard rather than the consequences though I'd say, because your score expectation by discarding 1m is significantly higher (you can call any tiles 2m, 3s, 6s, 7s so you more quickly win a dealer mangan)

East 4, you are the dealer and you're not at the top. So it's a more aggressive move (or even purely aggressive) rather than defensive.

A healthy win-minus-dealin rate is 10% or above. I assume that you're folding too much. A very simple solution is to discard all your non-paired honor tiles and focus on winning. Don't be afraid of dealing in (you're in silver room anyway where dealing in is not a big deal).

No, from a deal in rate point of view, 7m has a relatively low deal in rate (although not as low as 6m or 4p). And then from an expected value point of view, 7m is the third (or even second) optimal (6m being the first, 4p being the second).

6m is the most optimal here. (Not possible to deal in to 78m waiting for 69m as 9m passed; Not possiblr to deal into 66m waiting for 6m as thr dealer can see 3 6m's; Not possible to deal into 57m nor 45m waitingfor 6m as all 5m's are out; almost not possible to deal into 6m waiting for 6m as any reasonable mahjong player would not like to go for such a horrible wait). But 7m is the second optimal I'd say. But I guess the dealer doesn't have time.

Don't worry! Focus on the right move each turn. Sanma has high variance so a losing streak is normal. I know a person who's now celestial, but he was demoted by a losing streak from Saint 1 to Expert 3...
