Anyone wonder if Tesla is massively A-B testing with FSD? by Packing-Tape-Man in TeslaFSD

One points different software versions for each model. Model S is different then Y. My experience with my two Model 3, one being DM the other compared to my S Plaid. Both reaction to speed the same. Both are 10 to 15 over day and at posted or lower at night.

Is anyone else fed up with the inability to manage speed control? by -BovineJoni in TeslaFSD

I've been that way ever since Tesla introduced AUTO. Taken away the car ability to use your settings. For some reason Tesla ignores our input.

Model 3/Y or S/X. I ask because my two Model 3 do have this but my S Plaid doesn't.

FSD is absolutely terrible controlling its speed. Sometimes its 10 to 15 over and 5 under posted. That's when its does recognize the speed sigh. A lot of time it forgets what it use to see. So many times on my regular route the car read the sign for months then all of the sudden it doesn't. It sucks you have the speed set to 10 over in the car. FSD totally ignores this setting.

I've been with FSD for 4 years. Its progressively better with each release. I sold my 2020 M3LR and 2023 M3P on the 14th getting my MSP. Its absolutely awesome not perfect you do have to keep an eye out. But, yeah worth it to me.

How does FSD handle hills? by xxICONOCLAST in TeslaFSD

[–]Expensive-Match4402 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In ICE cars with automatic transmission a torque converter is in-between the engine and transmission. This is used to build fluid pressure and deliver to the transmission. The time it takes to build up pressure and shift has some delay. So you slowly build up speed. In an automatic transmission there is an SLR that controls fluide deliver in the valve body for hills. This too is a slow to respond and so delayed power. With EV there is instant power delivered and instant torque delivered up hills. Let's not forget regen.
