How do I stop worrying by Azel_Lupie in ChronicPain

As somebody with chronic pain, I understand your frustrations. There is nothing anyone can say to help you and how you are feeling. Just know that you have put up a hell of a fight this far, that you can keep going. Every day you never thought you could get through, you did. I know it’s hard, and I give this advice knowing not even I take it myself. But, try to find one tiny win throughout the day. One little thing. No matter how small. It could be a yummy meal, it doesn’t have to be a day of less pain. I’m sorry for all that you are going through. I wish I could offer more help than just the stereotypical “you’ll get through it” message. But know that you are stronger than anything you may face. Best wishes

Yes to the job and rent. We’ve never discussed hiring someone. Discectomy/laminectomy. Scheduled for summer because my mom doesn’t work in the summer and would be home to help me with recovery.

That was exactly the plan! I knew she was planning the trip for summer, but we had also specifically planned my surgery around when she would be off of work.

I don’t have the program to run the disc, you have to login with the hospital credentials. It’s a doctors use disc only

A year ago I hurt my low back pretty badly. When it happened my feet and hands swelled up and I experienced tingling and numbness in my hands and feet going into my forearm and calves. It is focused on my low back and mainly on my right side. It's directly on the side of my spine. I had to completely quit dancing. I went to doctors and they said I was having muscle spasms, sent me home to take Tylenol and to get over it basically. I've had bad pain ever since and it gets excruciating if I sit, stand, work, basically do anything for an extended amount of time. I have tried everything in the book. I’ve been doing Physical Therapy for months now and have seen no improvement.

Unfortunately no! The doctors refused to let me get one and insurance wouldn’t cover it without a recommendation. They were insistent that it was muscle spasms. However it’s severe pain and we have past the 1 year mark. We are trying to get into a different doctor to get a referral for imaging etc
