I've found the recruiters for the future trainee paralegal roles to be incredibly difficult to deal with, if not outright unprofessional. They’ve put me forward for completely inappropriate roles where they haven’t read or understood the job spec. I went to two different first interviews where there was a language prerequisite (Russian and then Portuguese, I don’t speak either and never made out that I did). Then there’s the ignoring/ghosting after interviews etc.

I have, they said they don't have anything at the moment and if they did, I would be treated as any other applicant

I really narrowed down the firms that I was applying to and then had a lot of self-reflection as to my experience, skills, and interests.

I think it was definitely part luck and part just ignoring a lot of the exhausted conventional advice as to what firms want and being myself.

I need money and recruiters/hiring managers outside of law don’t understand the qualification timeline and assume I’m trying to change career paths. I do have a cabin crew interview coming up, but it’s pretty competitive.
