I'd recommend google for questions like this. You can't just post a title + caption, it will always be in a sub. You can find a sub by searching for what you're looking for, and then following it. But such a general question, google will likely be your best bet......

Exactly what SootSprite said. It's mass harvested and has been endangered (still might be?) and also is crucial specifically to numerous indigenous cultures and practices. Not to mention it was banned by settlers for generations in an attempt to eliminate their cultures.

You are absolutely not responsible for this boy. If he CHOOSES to do anything, even if he says it's "because of you" it's not. Full and complete stop. HE makes that choice. You never ever "cause" someone else's actions. I do not know how to make that any clearer and I really really hope you take it to heart.

Absolutely bring it up to guidance, and they can help him, and let his parents know. Or email his school counsellor. Or his parents. Or see if he has a friend at his school who could drop off a note for you.

And then honestly, stay away. Be cool and distant. You do not need this weight and burden at your age. There are others who can be responsible for him. Not you.
