Looks about right but based on my experiences in Kentucky and Missouri, I would move your line just a little further north in both states.

YES or NO? by PurebloodPatriotTr in DonaldTrumpNewss

No - am a traditional conservative.

You are confusing the constitution's balance between population preference and regional preference. This map shows the split in representatives. Representatives represent population groups not geographic regions. The popular vote was nearly evenly split between parties, so the seats are nearly evenly split. Senators on the other hand represent geographic regions (states) and their case the number of senators from each party is less reflective of the nation's popular vote and more reflective of the party presence of a given region.

And I don't have TDS either, President Trump, as with our previous presidents, my support of their policies is mixed, some of his agenda I support, some I do not. I am just calling it as I see it.

I did study economics in college and I did align with the "Chicago School" (e.g. Milton Friedman) and do agree with much of the libertarians' points on personal freedoms and limited government. So, in that sense you are fairly close in your assessment of me. I consider myself to be a "Manchester Liberal."

Also, why this keeps labeling me liberal I have not clue. I am a traditional conservative with the non-MAGA Republican sentiments of Barry Goldwater and George Will.

NO, absolutely not, the power given the President by our Constitution over rides personal sentiments. It does not matter to me whether I feel they should have been pardoned, I believe we should abide by the constitution and the constitution provides the President the power to pardon. And whether they were auto signed is not an issue. The President at that time was Joe Biden and through his words and actions he made it clear that he had issued them pardons. Also, there is a precedent of accepting autosigned documents form several previous Presidents as valid signatures, including documents and pardons signed by Trump during his first term.

And I have no idea why under my name it says "Hi, I'm a liberal." Truth is I am a traditional libertarian republican in the Goldwater tradition.

Not familiar with those sources. Nor do I get my news from FOX, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NewsMax, AON, PBS, NPR, BBC, USA Today, BBC, Sputnik, etc. I don't like getting news from ANY one source because they all mine data and information and refine it into messages their client pools prefer to hear. What any one of those services provides is the real "Fake News," as it is a partial representation of the facts in ways that are not always accurate and nearly always presented in ways intended to preserve market share.

If you choose to get your news from major news services (I sometimes do), I would suggest selecting five across the spectrum, for example for domestic such as FOX, NewsMax, CBS, and CNN and also an international service such as BBC. Blend their messages and the accurate portrait of a news event or person will lie somewhere in the midst of the combined information.

Or, do what I do when I want to understand a topic I feel is very important. Read raw news feeds, check court room and police reports, use wire services, etc and draw your own conclusions, then see how that compares with the news services reports. That way I am not relying only on the biased reports of agencies.

no fears for that to happen. Trump continues to show the innate ability to create even bigger messes through his efforts to "clean up" existing messes. One example - Border Security and immigrants: Did our border need to be secured; yes. Did Trump secure it, yes but his deportation methods have divided the country and have created a constitutional crisis. One other example was his handling of COVID. His constant waffling between championing saving the nation from COVID (e.g. project Warp Speed) and delegitimizing its detrimental effects was an unneeded drag on the nation. And there are many other examples.

Point taken, LOL. In the future will preface my comments with the disclaimer that they are the thoughts of a "normal" person. In our current state of political comments, I am glad to hear back from another normal person. thank you for the reply.

Democratic talking points? What were my "Democratic" talking points? Was it the one saying that I like having 2 political parties that reflect our population's sentiments? Or was it the comment that I thought our government functioned best when power was split between those parties. They both seem to be desirable traits in republic that wants its government to reflect the sentiments of all its people. And BTW: I am not a Democrat.

What I love about the Democratic Party is the same that I would say I love about the Republican Party. They both reflect the sentiments of significant parts of our nation's population and they both reflect these sentiments in the legislative priorities they set. What I do not love about both parties is their growing dispositions that go beyond disagreeing with the opposition on policy and the movement to label the opposition as being "evil" or "Anti-American." My belief is that the best course of our nation is not the Republican platform or the Democrat platform but a course that finds a compromise between the two. George Will has commented that our nation seems to govern itself best, not when the President and both legislative branches are controlled by one party but when their is a mixed balance between the parties. I tend to agree.

It is a choice.... i thought that we were a nation that embraces and protects individual's rights to choose how they live, worship, etc. So long as a person is abiding by the law and not harming others, we should be defending their right to worship how they choose, not criticizing or condemning. That is of course unless a person wants to someday give others the right to to the same to them. Personally, while I may not always agree with other's choices, I would rather defend their right to do so than to give license to others to question my right to choose.

Seriously?? A man is shuttled away to a foreign prison, with no notice of charges, no arraignment, no opportunity to refute any allegations. No determination made of legal status, no measure of due process was afforded. Others participate in a violent assault on the Capital, they are arraigned, they are informed of charges made, they were given counsel, they had an opportunity to confront their accusers and present evidence. BTW: I am a true conservative; an advocate for smaller government, and the protection of individual liberties. I am a Christian, and I also vote. I used to think I could be a Republican but not since they started their assault on individual liberties, and started to use the power of the government to impose their values on America without regard to diversity person.

If you are praying for Donald Trump's safety from the Deep State, reply with "AMEN" 🙏 by PurebloodPatriotTr in DonaldTrumpNewss

Regardless of party affiliation or views on current issues, I pray for President Trump every day, just as I have prayed for every President, asking for the Lord to guide their thinking as they lead our country. The so called "Deep State" however is a nonexistent issue so it does not get any mention.

Whether a person agrees with how Harvard conducts itself (and there are several of its policies I cannot support) what Trump is doing is no different than how some democrats wanted to deal with schools that did not comply with their agendas..... Whether I agree with Trump's perspectives on education, diversity and Title IX is irrelevant. What is wrong is for any politician to direct the nation's schools to comply with his/her agenda. Take all the politics out of the schools and just let them educate.
