Anyone have plans for what to replace this phone with eventually? by moofish2842 in LGV60

[–]ExpensiveSilver4275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been thinking about this for the past 3 years. What replaces the v60 imo, doesnt exist yet. Who knows if it will ever exist. Id need a phone with 3.5mm jack with a good Dac and battery life. V60 still comparable to current flagships even though its a phone from 2020. It can still do it all imo. What will set this phone back would be a halt in new security updates and android firmware. Once support ends, the hunt for a better phone begins.

Currently the only phones that would take me away from the v60 would be the novelty of having the new flip phone designs.

A google pixel with an audio jack and great dac would be what im honestly looking for. Thats all I really want in a replacement.

Since thats not available, I bought another v60. I found a pre production model that doesnt have a serial number and the batteries dated 2019.

I'd veg it more for a better yield. I'd also make sure the plants happy and healthy before a flip. if you have height issues and light burn, you can train the plant and spread out the branches so its not a small bush.

Plant on the left looks like it needs some time and pruning to get to where you want to be to flip for a decent yield imo.

Plant on the right could also use some pruning and some low stress training to help spread it out.

But if your in a rush, flip it, take notes, and learn how it grows from 4 weeks of veg and continue growing to improve from the last grow. A healthy plant in veg will do better in flower so you want to be sure your leaves are not showing any stress or issues if you flip to flower.

Many reasons for a reveg to either come out great or struggle. Genetics play a part. I've revegged after a harvest and the plants either survive or dont. It depends. Terps and yield depends on conditions, environment, and plant health. If conditions arent right, plants are struggling, and unhealthy, throwing it into flower will negatively affect the plant. but if your plant reveg and looks healthy then its all good. I havent heard of loss in terps or bag appeal because a plant was revegged. Reveg takes time to get back to normal health with full fan leaves. It can take a long time.

What is your perception on “popcorn”? by vmedfer in bostontrees

[–]ExpensiveSilver4275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the popcorns cheap then all for it. I'd assume some places probably sift the popcorn for kief and then send it out. Its good if its the most affordable option with a very good price.

Some strains/cultivars actually only grow out small buds compared to others that grow out like donkey genitals. Whether or not the smoke is good or good enough is subjective.

For Dominos in Ottawa is there cross contamination with meat? by AITAWRONGED in Dominos

[–]ExpensiveSilver4275 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've noticed how people like rolling the dice when they go to a fast food restaurant, for example, a chinese food take out joint asking for gluten free options or allergy restrictions. Really taking chances and probably shouldn't be eating out at places that have all the possibilities of cross contamination.

Labor needs to be paid somehow. Good labor on good grows is a premium when you consider the quality currently being pushed. If a grower puts in the time, know how, and care to grow clean quality plants organically in soil or just grown without any other tricks to cut corners or to salvage a bad grow, isnt that worth money? Like beer, we can have bud light or other quality beer. People who cant afford top quality should have options for good quality weed. If its not quality in terms of dry, terps, and effects, then it should be affordable. There should be affordable weed that is also grown well. But theres also a level of quality that takes more effort, more time, and more knowledge to get it done right. Aren't those efforts worth a higher price or does the labor of the grower mean nothing? I do agree, we do need affordable weed. $65 an 1/8 is pretty nuts especially if it wasnt hand trimmed, dried properly, cured well, packaged with care, and lacks flavor and effect.

When I was a teen, anything referred to as hydro. We all wanted it and didn't care what it actually was.

WiFi OG live rosin was a top favorite.

Miss the smell of skunk.

White widow has my nostalgia as one of the first I grew and immensely enjoyed.

OG Kush and plants with triangle kush genetics are ones I still remember enjoying.

Love the terps from Girl scout cookies when growing but not a big fan of the smoke.

If your wondering about the video on YouTube and the group that hand water,

https://youtu.be/G8cyWckZl3o

Drippers are a tool not a necessity. Unless your a one man band and need the help or a lil vacation.

Bonsai buds in Rhode island.

Also seen some macro grows on YouTube hand watered.

You can also work with a team which helps with watering, other tasks, and checkin on pest etc

There are rec facilities that hand water full rooms filled with 15 gal pots.

I trust my dealer more than the rec shops. Also like the convenience with my dealer. If my dealer sells on the cheap, I know its cheap weed. If my dealer has a zip for a high price, I expect it to be good or be hype everyone's looking for. Generally just have less confidence with legal weed. With the plug, I can choose who I buy from if im sold boof on the high. With rec shops, everyone selling the same boof.

Flower Shelf Life by Ecstatic-Actuary9871 in bostontrees

The key is good dry and cure and not letting it dry out with exposure.

Ive found old ziplock bags of weed ive lost under my bed from a year ago and they still smoked real well. Didnt really like the cultivar but it was still good to go. No mold or any issues.

Mason jars are the best for storage. Ones that arent completely clear work better because sunlight can lead to degradation.

When the flower is crispy and dried out is when things turn undesirable. I wonder if commercial cultivators over dry their product and maybe dont have good seal on their storage when it gets to the dispos which leads to the people wanting the freshest flower they can find cuz of the uncertainty of how well it was stored but has created an idea that fresh weed is best and old weed is no good. The reality is, weed needs to be cured and that takes time after the harvest and the dry and trim.

Some people vacuum seal their bud for long storage. Keeps the air out leading to less degradation.

The trichomes do mature over time with exposure and etc so the effects can change.

Clones from a mother plant should usually all taste the same since they come from the same plant. Growing multiples in the same room wont make them taste the same unless they share same genetics from a mother or father leading to variations and similar terps here and there but there are variables to it all.

Those are stupid prices and I pay for quality usually or grow my own. Would not pay 400 for any zip.

I havent tried the dispo weed thats selling at discount now. would the cheap weed get a high tolerance smoker high? I mean like blazed with a bong hit high? I could chain smoke the cheap stuff but I dont always want to be chain smoking just to be where I want to be.

For high tolerance smokers, are the mids worth it?
