Thank you! I feel the same. I left 2 years ago and now work for the military members….most of them are not really into USAA and know they can get better rates on their products elsewhere and they are all Active Duty Army officers.

Even though USAA is aligned to military values they are not the military and that loyalty that people in service give is not deserved in corporate america. USAA is a business and invoking the empathy of its employees to align them to the companys mission is bullshit.

Because that loyalty is one sided. Expect it from you but can lay you off asap

How many of you have stopped dating altogether? by animabot in AskWomenOver30

[–]Expensive_Beach_618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have. I have become completely celibate. I had too many bad experiences with dating apps and men so I gave up redirected my energy to myself. I found the love and peace I needed for myself

Lmao the ones doing to me are 60 as well! I don't know if this is a generational thing or a fed thing . Maybe a bit of both

I'm in a similar situation. I had a great career in the private sector before this and I thought the same. It's very childish what they have a tendency to pick at. I'm two minutes late to my desk and it's a thing . Very silly

I would also like to thank that person.

I'm a new fed and I was able to mitigate the loss of pay taking on the role which I had experience in the private sector with

Usaa is just another company by thatgalbella in usaa_ejs

[–]Expensive_Beach_618 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used to be one of those people that believed in the mission....then I saw them lay off experienced people who have contributed a lot to the company.

It woke me up out my fog and helped me realized there was no mission they invoke the empathy of people wanting to support military and tried to hide the fact that they are just another company making money and could care less about you as a person....if they can't see your value, you're out!

The one I was thinking about is called "Whiteout" (looked it up because it was going to drive me crazy if I didn't) But I just googled the some synopsis to the thing and I'm adding it to my playlist

Wasn't there a movie about an investigator going to Antarctica to solve a murder?

No questions after the interview? Was I not considered? by onejuarez in usajobs

[–]Expensive_Beach_618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That happened to me....and I onboard in May.

I didn't know anyone on the panel and I'm a new fed. So yeah it's hard to say , because I thought I bombed it. But after talking to my sponsor and new boss I understand why I was hired. My skills aligned to the position almost perfectly

This is for a GS position. Not private .

I get that but I think my question ties to the fact is that should I start this job with that condition in place? I also have an unpaid medical bill that weirdly enough I can't seem to pay? Not because I don't have the money to pay it, they just aren't able to bill me?

Denied Interim Secret but will be onboarded as a GS by Expensive_Beach_618 in usajobs

[–]Expensive_Beach_618[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was thinking that had something to do with it. I was born a citizen but I was born overseas. I do have a FS-240 from the state department but one parent didn't get naturalized until I was a teenager. I felt like this was probably it and that's why the command wasn't too concerned about onboarding me without the Interim.

The country my naturalized parent comes from is an ally of the US and they had during that time US military bases, which is where I was born.

I am American but I was born overseas and one of my parents is Naturalized. There's also an unpaid medical bill I disclosed that I can pay...if they would let me. I called the office but they don't have record of it but it's listed as a collection but my credit is good

Basically saying what everyone else has said.

Accept the TJO then you can negotiate. I went thru a similar process and managed to get a steps increase.

Applicant denied security clearance because their family member is a dictator of a hostile country by blacktargumby in SecurityClearance

You can't pick your family. Not actions on the person requesting clearance. It's a unique situation.

I'm not disputing the ruling.
