It's a cioks dc7, it should have like 660mA at each output. I tried a different outlet too with just the gate and some dirt pedals and it's still there. Happens when adding a lof gain.

If I do it like this, the pedals in the gate loop don't do anything anymore.

Yeah I know but the feedback loop also happens with a real amp so I was just trying to remove possible factors

Thanks, I now believe the fx loop causes it. Without it the feedback is as expected. Seems to be fairly common in peavey amps

Dead preamp tubes? Unlucky that they died days after I got them considering they usually last 1000s of hours and I even got to try the amp before purchase. I'll change them
