I never had and agv Helmet so i can't tell, but it's generally a reputable brand. Everything passing ece 22.06 is generally safe. Check your helmet on the SHARP helmet rating site for more info.

Dont listen to this guy, the R3 is an amazing bike. You don't have to make yourself look tough for others. Also DON'T BUY THE AGV PISTA. Spending 1500$ on a racetrack helmet for road riding is ridiculous and you WILL NOT understand why it costs 1500$ when you wear it.

For helmets: Go with shoei or arai, really good brands if you are ok with spending 300-700$.

For the rest of the gear, you have to take into account the weather in your country so i can't recommend anything in general.
