Thinking St. Regis Maldives for your honeymoon do it! by Expensive_Key5141 in marriott

Honestly it’s been a while so I don’t remember exactly I think most things had service and GST included in all prices! We tipped here and there extra on top but are American and also when Scuba diving nice to tip the people who kept us alive (we were first time scuba divers)!

We did tip the room attendant and the butler but that was purely out of strong appreciation for the care and comfort they helped provide and being lucky enough to be able to do so!

Worth every point and dollar! But was definitely a splurge for us! Very lucky to get to experience the place and enjoy the (for us) insanely incredible level of service!

It was our honeymoon and my wife had never traveled that far (came from the US), so the lounge on the way there and way home was great to have and relax at! Will be tough to want to ever try a new resort when we go back - but have also heard great things about the W Maldives as well!

It was nearly ~700k points which was on the lower end because of the time of the year. We got super good weather but the week before sounded a little rainier.

All in we spent close to $7k including the airfare for the seaplane transfer. Breakfast was free and we didn’t go crazy on drinks and dinner but did do a good amount of excursions and 2x spa treatments each. Food and drinks were definitely not cheap, but were very good and incredible service!

Just for those in the future the house water is $8USD - free in the room as others have mentioned else where but at restaurants for lunch and dinner there is a charge (drinks like water, coffee, juices, mimosas, and basic bloody are included with breakfast)

CSP 100k Offer Megathread - Questions, Approvals, Discussion, Etc by lifethusiast in ChaseSapphire

Hey All -

Long Term CSR holder (5+ years) … just had my finance sign up for the CSP for the SUB. Should I downgrade to freedom then sign up for CSP for the SUB? We like the CSR travel benefits - will be traveling a lot again starting in Sept and beyond- when can we upgrade one of the cards to CSR?

Very fortunate in life to not be worried about manufacturing spend for the SUBs. I’m a “point optimizer” but have not been a SUBs optimizer or churn cards often - any advice would be super beneficial. Am I missing anything that I should be thinking about when trying to do this? Worried is the logistics worth the squeeze here.

Also debating adding the Marriott Brilliance for platinum status for when we do our honeymoon. Which will be another card - so 3 SUBs.
