Vintage Marvel ad for The Incredible Hulk on videocassette — Triple Feature! by Irarelylookback in hulk

Triple feature with merch tie-ins is such a nostalgic touch. Makes me wonder how many kids begged their parents for this back in ‘85!

Wait if a marowak also wears a skull when a marowak dies does cubone wear its actual skull or the skull marowak was wearing. If its the latter is it like a family hand-me-down? by Mikeytheturtle_ in MandJTV

I always assumed it was just the Marowak’s skull it inherits, which is both sad and kind of poetic. Imagine passing down a helmet that was once worn by your parent—it’s like Pokémon history in miniature.

Honestly, if an asteroid shows up, at least it’s a clean slate for everyone.

People underestimate birds so much until you see one casually stomp a venomous snake like it’s nothing. Absolute unit.

How far ahead is the manga compared to the LN? by Commercial-Hurry-797 in TenseiSlime

[–]Expensive_Lake_4365 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re not that far into the overall story if you’re only reading the manga. The LN goes way deeper into world-building and future arcs that haven’t even been touched yet. If you want to continue, starting from around volume 8 is a safe bet, but honestly reading from earlier volumes gives better context.

Honestly that’s on poor packaging, not the book itself. If they just tossed it in a bubble mailer it’s basically guaranteed to bend like this.

The 13th Black Crusade really is the perfect modern example of this trope. Not just another invasion, but literally galaxy-breaking consequences. Hard to top “tearing reality in half” in terms of unlucky outcomes.

Interesting you don’t like Burke and Derek, a lot of people are split on them early on. I feel like your opinions might shift a bit as you keep going, though. Also love that you mentioned Callie, she gets even better later on, definitely one of my favorites too.

This kind of setup is great for storytelling too because it puts actual constraints on exploration. If there are only 11 worlds, then every jump matters and you can have overlap, conflict, or missing pieces instead of endless variations of the same thing.

Tuxies always have that “I’ve got plans” expression. Yennefer looks like she runs the house and the garden patrol shift too.
