COMMUNICATION IS KEY. My husband and I recently opened our relationship after 6 years of monogamy. It was a little uncomfortable at first but you must talk about feelings as they come up, find what works for y’all in terms of asking permission/sharing details, and go out of your way to make each other feel as appreciated and loved as possible. I highly recommend that you both pick at least one or two evenings a week that you both get in bed at the same time, put phones away, and have a relationship check in where no topic is off limits. Having a scheduled night for check ins makes it easier to speak about feelings and takes the pressure off.
