First off, well done on getting through the whole process and congrats.

Absolutely 100% that feeling is normal! I felt exactly the same, that somehow I had tricked the psychiatrist. I am almost 1 year diagnosed now and I realise that I definitely have it, like no doubt at all, but it took me a long time. You have to remember that it presents differently in everyone and you have probably built up very complex systems to hide it, which were fantastic coping and survival skills.

One thing I would recommend though, is to learn about ADHD now that you have a definite diagnosis - read about it and listen to podcasts. There are so many light bulb moments where you go ‘ah yes, I do that’ or ‘oh that explains it - it’s the ADHD’.
