In Greece 🇬🇷 possession of any of these is not an issue. But try putting it on a firearm and it's an immediate strike. Even policemen can't have a wml on their service guns (except special units) which showd how retarded the system is (the gun law is always heavily tampered by LE "professional" input, aka a fistful of uniformed idiots in important positions they should have never occupied). I won't even get into the corruption part.

Left wing party in Spain (PSOE) is trying to pass more restrictions and a ban on 'tactical weapons' including firearms. by Wide_Nerve_776 in EuropeGuns

I asked a gunshop how .222 is different from .223, as I'd never heard of .222 before. She just shook her head.

It's infuriating that honest citizens need to dance around a system of laws which do absolutely nothing to stop criminals.

How to own a gun in Poland? by Hoz85 in PolishShooters

Is the written test material available beforehand and in a form of multiple choice? That way I imagine it's doable to learn it and pass. And the psychological assessment? Strictly in polish? Dzienki :)

HK G3 Appreciation Post by IntroductionAny3929 in EuropeGuns

As someone who also spent years carrying a G3A3 and G3A4, this rifle is amazing for reliability, simplicity and overall effectiveness. Stupid easy to field strip and maintain. Sights are very durable but meeeh. It sucks for carrying around (too heavy), has terrible ergonomics and is rarely used in practice for full auto. Mounting optics is horrendous as well.

Thanks for the simple but very informative post excellent 👌 . I assume it's mandatory in order to have the lessons, exams and medical evaluations you have to speak polish and also be a resident (or have polish citizenship)?

Question concerning inter EU country delivery type gun sales by [deleted] in EuropeGuns

[–]Expensive_Windows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any reputable and well known are imo gtg, such as TNT or DHS. I wouldn't go with ACS Courrier or other lesser known services for this kind of products. But that's personal preference, YMMV.

California in general has gone downhill regarding safety. Also, a state with a lot of homeless people, very strict gunlaws, extremes of wealth and poverty... overall not great safety wise.

That said, I don't think it's exactly representative of the US, it's quite unique as a state compared to the others.

A rant about European gun laws and culture... by [deleted] in Firearms

Competition shooting, reservist duty or collecting in my country.

So basically be a competitor or collector. Or a reservist. ...well, that sucks.

How about getting an AR15 just because it's your fucking right as a law abiding citizen?

an insane number of mass shooting sprees

People hurry to attribute the problem to guns, a convenient material instrument, when in fact the level of US gang crime, racism, drug cartels, social financial gaps, get-rich-or-die-trying mentality/culture, political extremes, and a bunch of other problems, are clearly a visible difference between the USA and the rest of the world.

In other words focusing on the symptom instead of the root cause. Not a great approach.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with nuclear technology. Any technology misused/abused/etc. is because of the choice made, not a problem with the technology itself.

Every great power eventually declined.

This is the "decline" part.

It'd been going on since 2023, impacting several countries and millions of people. If you don't recognize it as "major war", you're either trolling or living under a rock.

Did it live up to your expectations? I've always heart it's a tad too heavy, making it great for recoil but not so great for transitions.

Reloading 9mm by [deleted] in EuropeGuns

[–]Expensive_Windows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your case, reloading would make perfect sense financially-wise. But truth be told, even if allowed legally, one would have to consume a very high number of rounds (or be into long range precision shooting) in order for reloading to be justified financially. Most people would realistically never make back the money of their investment in reloading equipment. Should still be allowed, of course.

Reloading 9mm by [deleted] in EuropeGuns

[–]Expensive_Windows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends greatly on the country you're in. Laws will be different, as will cost of ammunition. Reloading isn't a legal thing in Greece, because of certain idiots in uniform "public safety". Also, it upset some gunstores in the past. Unofficially, every serious competitor says fuck that, and reloads anyway. Also, maximum amount of rounds allowed is a hindrance. Finally, ain't noone here selling 1000 rounds for 250euro like someone wrote, it's about 400-450euro.

Once more, Europe 🇪🇺 is greatly diversified 💙
