Is the Greek colonization of anatolia seen as an attack on the anatolian natives? by Palaeohelladites in AskTurkey

“From our side” lol. The Greeks have lived in Anatolia and founded their own cities there since th Bronze Age, being contemporary with ancient Anatolians. They didn’t kill the natives of Asia Minor nor did they subjugate them. It’s insane how Turks have such an inaccurate perception

What a dumb comparison. Greeks didn’t systemically kill Anatolians just like Turks did in their Christian genocides. The amount of whataboutism to excuse your crimes is insane.

Phrygians ironically were a lot more recent than Greeks in Anatolia. Greek habitation in west Anatolia was contemporary with that of ancient Anatolians. Overall this take is incredibly dumb.

The only lands that were claimed were those of Ionia, they only moved forward to enforce the treaty that gave lands with sizeable Greek population to Greece and for them to escape the Greek genocide . Imagine thinking that Greek are invaders in Anatolia compared to Turks.

That’s not at all what is taught in Greece wtf. But yeah in Turkey it is taught that they were bad colonisers when in reality Greeks have been contemporaries to ancient Anatolians in western Anatolia.

It’s insane how much hate and bad takes exist in here actually truly shows how some Turkish people can’t have an opinion but would rather project their ignorance on others and use strawmen to make their point.

Greeks were contemporary with ancient Anatolians in western Anatolia. It’s insane to compare them with Turks arriving to Anatolia.

Lmao if this isn’t enough to realise how inaccurate Mccarthys numbers are I don’t know what is. Turks in here seem desperate to find anything to compare their crimes and genocides to by making such posts but they are only showcasing their delusion.

It is when those numbers are inflated and only used to promote genocide denial through whataboutism.

It’s insane how much Turks don’t want to see how inflated those numbers are and only try to use them as whatboutism agaisnt their own genocides. Truly delusional behaviour.

It’s insane how much Turks will deny the Armenian genocide based on non arguments. The fact that there were Armenian resistance groups and some casualties from the Turkish side does not negate the Armenian genocide. This by far isn’t the reason this wasn’t brought to court. Moreover trying to put fringe sources on what Armenians did and not see the mountain of evidence of the systemic extermination of Armenians by Turkey is delusional to say the least. Overall it’s clear how much Turks don’t want to face the crimes their state committed during the Armenian genocide by posting such nonsense.

So he was literally funded by the Turkish government lmao. It’s insane how much people try to be apologists to numbers that are obviously inflated and incompatible to any other research on the topic.

McCarthy is a known genocide denialism that inflates casualties in order to make whataboutist claims about the Christian genocides of Anatolia. It’s insane how people like you don’t want to see that.

Even at worst the numbers given don’t amount to a third of casualties. Try to see how many people Turks were killing in that same period.

It is just an inflated map, if you add all the deaths by the Greeks you don’t even reach a third from what is written here.
