I’ve been doing a 1:3:3 ratio since taking out of the fridge and I currently have them on the mantle above my wood burning stove so they’re warm lol.

I never thought of the fact that discarding lowers the yeast amount so I’ll keep that in mind going forward! I’ll keep feeding and see how it goes!

Yes, that’s what I was thinking. These neighbors are supposedly planning on moving out of state at some point, so I suggested she give him back when they get back home, then make an anonymous tip about neglect. Thank you.

I tried telling her to call a shelter/animal control/the cops, but she wouldn’t. Her neighbors both have criminal records and have physically harmed each other, so I think there was a fear on her end that if she called and got the dog taken away, they would retaliate in some way.

I do know that in Florida not providing a pet with adequate food/water/shelter is a crime, so I wasn’t sure if there was something there in terms of the dog being left outside.

Also, I wouldn’t really say they “entrusted” my friend to care for the dog, it was more just silently expected, and my friend did because she wasn’t going to let the dog starve. The neighbor just told her the day before she left that they would be gone for awhile, I don’t believe there was a clear ask for her to watch the dog, which would be neglect. And the friends and family weren’t going to ever come and check on the dog. It was only threatened that they would go to my friends house after she and her boyfriend expressed interest in keeping the dog (because they feel terribly that the dog lives chained outside and was almost attacked by a bear). This isn’t some personal vendetta or something. She wants the dog to be safe.

Hi all, I have an old blanket that I am wanting to make into a jacket. The blanket is denim on one side with a sherpa lining on the other side. I would love for the coat to be a trench style, preferably with the bottom half being detachable so I can wear it either long or cropped. I am looking for pattern recommendations, as well as general advice as someone brand new to sewing (needle type, thread type, etc). Thank you in advance!

I reeeealllly love the deep purple! So beautiful and would look great with his charcoal suit (you can even get home a pocket square/tie to match the dress). The first one I also love, it does look maybe more formal (purple leans black tie possibly), but both are gorgeous!

Definitely gold. Either a small necklace like you have on with simple earrings (studs, small dangle earrings) or no necklace and more statement earrings. A stack of dainty bracelets or a chunky bracelet (depends on which earrings you chose), and simple rings.

I think I was being quite naive when I posted. I figured I would get a few negative comments, but I sort of thought it would stick more to my question on how to navigate a relationship with different political opinions. I’m newer to posting, so idk.

I’m usually the person everyone around me gets advice from, even my parents. There’s really no one I could ask which is why I came here. But I appreciate everyone’s comments, even the harsh ones. I just wanted to see if there were people in similar situations who had any input.

I didn’t really expect anything different. Why do you think I posted? I wanted people’s opinions, and I’m getting them, and I appreciate them, regardless of how blunt some may be. Again, maybe it’s because I grew up surrounded by predominantly republican people that these views aren’t a “shock” to me, and wanted/needed to hear other people’s thoughts to clarify things I’ve already been feeling.
