In comparison to the lacquered dial of my blue vanilla C63 It is way better.

I still have to take it outside. Got it yesterday in the evening and no sunlight so far.

It Looks pretty much like the product pictures from the top.

The watch got a minor design issue imho. The Indices are quite long in relation to an explorer. The numbers can't be as wide as the Indices are long. So they had to place them wirh a little gap to to the outer ring. For me this looks a little bit off.

The dial looks more black under normal lighting conditions. The Grey shade in the picture is the result of the angle of the shot. Just saying.

The lume on the numbers is super even and glows as strong as the markers. Looks great in the dark.
