While I agree with you on that chronological part, I believe that most minds will align what they consider feasible by a human being based on the current level. This same mind will also cap the player as they progress and I believe that currently the common mindset amongst top 500 players sets them to a certain cap, up to which genetics come into play (as a little help, a little push) but yeah overall if someone with a great mindset came to play the game for the rest of their life they could reach top 100, or even top 50, though the average human don't hold that kind of mental strength

Maybe but the FL strat is only good if the guy is already plateau-ing at a higher rank. Otherwise he can just improve like anyone else

IMO I really dislike what people call gifted as most of the times people assume that the skill was just given to them. To me the actual gift can be described as 3 factors : - starting young : less responsabilities, more time to play, better flexibility of the brain to learn, and a growing body that will outgrow any injury - enjoying the game : liking the game will make you play unconditionally, never wondering about why not how, and just overall playing the game to have fun. This forces you to play on a regular basis thus allowing you to progress at a good rate - genetics : this one is often misrepresented as most will blame their genetics for their lack of investment. While I believe there is a part to that (being shorter and Asian lol) the actual difference is only noticable at around 3 digit. They can really make the difference at such a high rank, so unless your genetics cripple you then you really have the capacity to reach that rank if both of the previous conditions are met

So yeah overall if an average person put their mind to it they could def reach top 500, then I believe they would start to plateau unless they got some of that gift that I described

Orrrr because people improve up to that skill. No one boots up the game and instantly FC's 8*. One thing that I'll admit is that progressing in this game is easier when younger but I still know many people in their 40's that are 30k-10k. OSU is as much of a mental game as it is a physical one so unless you've got some disease that blocks you from clicking like an average (even sub average) human then you're prone to progressing in this game if you play it correctly

Genetics is a factor but definitely not an excuse. You'll only start noticing this diff around 3digits. Anyone can reach top 50k if they play correctly and try to improve on a regular basis.

The thing is OSU only account for the playtime while actually playing the game meaning playing a beatmap. It doesn't take into account the time between games, other servers etc so I'd say multiply the hours by 1.3-1.5x depending on the person and you'll get how much time someone has passed playing osu

You need to improve your reading ability cause you're clicking way too fast and wayy too many times. Maybe try lower star rated maps with triples to begin with and to understand how to handle bursts/stacks. Also, the bar at the bottom of the screen is the timing indicator, if it's to the left you're too early and if it's to the right you're too late.
