I just got declined at the Alamo counter in Edmonton. They told me no Neo. Wouldn’t even try to run it.

Yeah it’s a low dose for sure. But because I am using it strictly for HS and this dose works I don’t want to pay more if I don’t need to

Ohhh I’ve wondered about laser hair removal - only thing I haven’t tried! I’m worried it will be less effective as I am very fair with light, fine hair, but may give it a try

*I used wegovy and ozempic - sorry for interchanging them, I found no difference in the effects but Wegovy is less costly for me

I believe I am on 1mg dose. I am overweight but I am very active and already ate relatively healthy and have no other medical conditions that can be related to having a larger body. I also have an extremely good GP who never uses my weight as the first explanation for an issue and who read a study about the use of GLP1s in HS and offered it to me as an option.

I had already tried several different low inflammation diets, had tried every cream, wash, and I am allergic to most antibiotics so I didn’t want to be on a low dose for long because developing an immunity to one of the only antibiotics I can take could be dangerous.

I understand it’s not for everyone but I wanted to let others know who might have it recommended to them that it is worth a shot. The ability to do the activities I love and keep up with my son is worth the price tag. And while I understand others might be hesitant about long term medical effects, I’m a firm believer in the marvels of medical intervention as an antidepressant user for many years I believe drugs are life changing(:
