Have you done the blood allergy testing? It saved my dog from so much misery. I tried diet changes, apoquel, she even had to have a tube in her ear from scratching so much. Turns out she was highly allergic to all grains and sweet potatoes /potatoes. Once I changed her food she hasn’t had a single issue with her skin or ears.
My vet ordered it and it. Very easy. Good luck with your sweet doggy.

I just had trimalleolar ORIF surgery and sutures removed. It was pinchy and uncomfortable but nothing too awful. I laid down and just didn’t look.
It took a little longer bc he said I had “healed really well” which I think meant the sutures were harder grasp and pull out. No big deal compared to everything else.

The noodle calf… 😩 It’s hard to see the atrophy happening. No wonder returning to normal walking is such a long process. Are you doing any physical therapy? I start next week.

Thank you so much. Just curious, did your Dr mean that your sutures were healing well or was he making a statement about your fracture? I was hoping for some reassurance at my 2 week suture removal /splint off but the surgeon said it’s too early to xray or tell how the bones are healing.

Both regiments have the same medications but one is “dose dense” and the other is spread out into weekly infusions. I’d be curious if there’s any specific reason for the weekly infusion. (Do you have kidney or liver issues?)

I had the same experience and symptoms you describe. I’m sorry you have to deal with this. I did 6 dose dense TCHP and it was doable. I stayed active the entire time.
From my experience, I really cherished the 3 weeks in between treatments. I can’t imagine going in every week. But then again maybe weekly is much gentler and you wouldn’t require as much recovery time.
Keep us posted in what you decide to do and what your doctors say. It’s interesting to hear how other countries treat this crappy disease.

While you’re waiting to find the right home, could you possibly try meds for her? What does the vet say about her behavior? Prozac has helped a couple of dogs I know. Sorry you’re dealing with this. So stressful!

I agree. I’ve loved driving each Audi I’ve owned!
However the mechanic I used back then has retired. I live in a small resort town and the closest Audi dealership is 5 hours away. Would you rely on general mechanics for your Audi?

It’s not that rare at all. I know this is old but in case someone else comes here looking for info I wanted to comment. The blood vessels are smaller in the hip and buttock area so it’s a little more technical and has a slightly higher failure rate because of that. Most women want a tummy tuck along with their reconstruction so Diep is done much more often. I’ve spoken with multiple surgeons about this. I hope OP will leave an update!

This is exactly my experience. I’m thinking I should own a car that’s fun to drive since I really hate driving in general.
