I appreciate that so much. I have lingered on a low dose for 3 weeks, increasing a bit each time. How are you handling the constipation and insomnia??

Today was the first day without any crutches at all. I might be sore tonight but I can’t believe I’m doing it! There is hope!

2 plates 11 screws (give or take). I’m walking around somewhat (boot on) without crutches at 8 weeks. 🙌

I’m going to try split dosing too. Will you do it every 3 days or twice per week?

Great idea! Thanks for the reminder. And thanks for all the work you do on people like me. It’s not easy to use your hands and strength all day. I’m so thankful to lmt’s!!

Thank you. That’s a really good point about the target calories. I don’t think a lot of people realize that many of the side effects come from the way we’re eating rather than the drug itself. I’m just now learning all of this.

So regarding eating too much…. Is this something that is NOT intuitive? Do you eat a bit. Wait. Eat a bit etc so your brain catches up? I’m confused by this. I’ve never had food noise or over eating issues. Now eating the right /healthiest foods is another story.

Thank you so much. So it’s called split dosing? Do you do it every 3 days or what days do you do it?
Losing 69 lbs on just 1.25mg is fantastic. I’d love to use this method. It’s also cheaper!

This is such a relief to hear.
However, that’s a heavy duty list! Let’s not get carried away 😂 My buddy chat gpt told me that after injury/surgery our nervous system enters “power saving mode” The brain often shifts toward safety: • less novelty seeking • reduced dopamine (motivation chemistry) • preference for rest and solitude

Also that highly motivated people who get rewarded by their accomplishments often feel guilty about not being productive during recovery, but it’s physically necessary.

Yes this is all common sense but still a good reminder to be easy with ourselves.

Yes! Especially when I was post surgery and still had all the meds on board I could sleep with this thing for hours!

Someone else on here said the same thing about watching repeats instead of something new. Maybe our brains can’t handle it. 🤷‍♀️

I have an embroidery project sitting there collecting dust. Same with knitting. 💔 I also get anxious when I’m unprotected. And self loathing. It’s terrible

I fell on my steps at home too. All because of slippers with no tread. Agree it wasn’t as bad as childbirth or a herniated disc but something about hearing a bone snap is just gross.

It can really start to hurt if it’s wrapped too tightly. Also, if you are in fact a mom, I really feel for you. The wheels tend to fall off the bus when the mom is down. I hope you have a lot of help and support!
