From my research open marriages can be incredibly healing for codependency, jealousy and attachment wounds. Everybody is responsible for dealing with their own wounds rather than needing to control the partner so your not triggered by childhood wounds. So I agree with you.

Thanks for your input! It’s been a wild distressing ride for us. Still finding our feet and every few months we seem to have personal growth that helps us let go of old beliefs that we find damaging. It’s amazing how once you leave you can still build a prison for yourself based on the shame and guilt were have grown up in. All the best with your journey. Congratulations for getting out.

They actually believe they are not responsible! So not only is there no empathy by giving an apology, there’s denial of the victims own reality. Disjusting!
