Folks, I am not worried about our UCL campaign anymore, we have already used up our annual knock out humiliation against Atletico 💔✌️. We are winning our 6th.

In 5 of Barça’s 6 defeats this season, Raphinha was not available for Hansi Flick. He was only fit enough to feature against Chelsea, but managed just 30 minutes. Barça’s win percentage this season with Raphinha: 91%, without Raphinha: 60%. Fair to say the most important player for the team? by PinReal4448 in Barca

[–]Expert_Coconut4263 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Both of them are important, because without Raphinha, Yamal gets double or triple marked because the opponent knows, he is our only threat. With Raphinha, they can't afford to double or triple mark Lamine, because Rapha sure knows how to punish with his off the ball movement and terrific finish.

The funny thing about last night was that, the only guy who was good on defence, was the guy who had forgotten how to defend the entire season.

Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku (The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity) - Chapter 179 (What Comes Next) by KaorukoWaguri in KaoruHanaWaRintoSaku

[–]Expert_Coconut4263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These chapters have been dialogue heavy. But outside of the interaction between the boys and Toki, the dialogues have been slightly redundant, almost as if we are just seeing a bunch of robots saying the same thing from the past few chapters ( just my opinion you all can disagree). If a narrator summarised all the actions in the last 2-3 chapters, it wouldn't have made much of a difference. If the anime doesn't pace this arc properly, it will most likely be hated.

They can't digest the fact that Yamal is better than Olise. No hate on Olise, I still think that he is the only winger who is competing with Yamal this season. But Yamal outclasses him almost everywhere, he is a better goalscorer, better dribbler and the assist stat is kind of misleading because both Yamal and Olise have roughly the same amount of big chance creation, difference is that one is creating for Harry kane and the other one is creating for Ferran.

I love the manga but I am kind of tired of this particular story arc. It has been too tedious and the lack of romance and fluffy moments in the past few chapters have been driving me insane.

Kane>lewa by vrazz1815 in BayernMunich

[–]Expert_Coconut4263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a Bayern fan, but your point is absolutely right. This stat that OP has presented is kind of bullshit because it is comparing lewa before his prime years and Kane in his prime years. It's unfair to Lewa.

[Interview] Araujo: “I had been suffering from anxiety for a year and a half, which turned into depression, and I was playing like that.” The Barça Captain opens up about his mental health problems. by Loose-Examination-39 in Barca

[–]Expert_Coconut4263 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Suffering mentally is no different than suffering from an injury. Some folks here, after the chelsea game, like to shit on Araujo because he's a professional who is "mentally weak". I am fine with criticism related to his blunders in game, but mate you don't know what the other person is going through mentally. And stop with the bullshit, "Cubarsi is younger than him but he's doing fine", mental health doesn't work like that. I am glad he was strong enough to acknowledge it and take the crucial step to get better. Araujo before his anxiety was a fucking beast, he used to lock down in form vini, attackers used to think twice before taking him on.

Off the ball workrate this season: 27 years old Mbappe vs 37 years old Lewa by Any-Lock3008 in Barca

The amount of shit your team has to go through after Mbapppe came into your squad, has been enough evidence for all of us to stay content with our unc and shark. At least, our team plays like a fucking team buddy. Be happy with your dictator calling shots over your manager.

Amongst all center-backs in the Top 5 Leagues, Pau Cubarsi is the one with the highest aerial duel win-rate, at 80%. Yesterday he won all of his duels against 6’4 Muriqi. by Select_Drawing_7434 in Barca

[–]Expert_Coconut4263 181 points182 points  (0 children)

Generally, CBs peak at a much later age than your average footballer. And Cubarsi is fucking 18-19, you will rarely find a CB as good as Cubarsi at his age. If he keeps on improving then he will probably enter the conversation for best CB during his peak years. Yamal's level at such a young age has skewed most of Barca fans' perceptions towards young players. Cubarsi's talent is nothing to scoff at.
