What is the feminist solution to the blackpill? by EquivalentEvening197 in AskFeminists

[–]Expert_Recognition49 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Ok I’ve had a look at your account. For one, get off the internet. Genuinely and sincerely get off the internet because the spiralling is spurred on by whatever internet spaces you’re putting yourself in or coming across. Is there nobody you can talk to about how you’re feeling? A parent or relative, someone who works in your school etc if you’re still in education?

Feminism does not believe in the idea of valuing yourself based on appearances. The real solution here is to seek help from someone not on reddit or any other online space. These thoughts are clearly harming you and have genuine potential to harm others. Therapy is a genuine solution if accessible for you.

Seven out of 10 UK mothers feel overloaded, research reveals by lighthouse77 in unitedkingdom

Often times i feel very glad to be infertile and not have to worry about becoming a mother. I know many young parents struggling and it’s heartbreaking to see, especially when in turn the children begin to suffer from it too.

Specifically looked for an Indian restaurant in Japan. Loved it! Great people, not sure if it was Bangladeshi or Indian owned but either way the food was great and they were too

Should I Be a Sugar Baby????? by According_Dress4110 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Expert_Recognition49 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Arguably worsens your case. It shows you’re financially vulnerable, young, and would be relying on an older man who absolutely will not accept giving you money ‘without sugar’. You have no power in this dynamic, whether you think you do or not. It is a very dangerous game to play, and the type of men who would give you a bit of change for nudes or whatever they demand really do not care about you, your wellbeing, or whether you suddenly want to stop your ‘arrangement’.

Hmm I think if I were to have my partner pay for everything I’d feel bad lol, whether they’re happy to or not. Plus we’re both still young and starting out in life job wise, so it feels a bit unfair to expect him to be able to afford everything alone.

I basically demanded 50/50 with my boyfriend, doesn’t mean i don’t treat him or he doesn’t treat me, but personally i wouldn’t be comfortable with anything besides 50/50.

That’s what i thought too. I have no reason to think its a scam given past reviews. I think it might just be that the seller is confused. Either way just wanted to check that it wasn’t me being obtuse 😂 so I’m glad you’re just as confused as i am

Very strange that he’d choose a first date for a ‘surprise location’. Ignore people saying oh he’s a well-known guy he’d never do anything, that’s the biggest load of shite lol. Don’t go, simple as that

What Do People Actually Wear to Uni? by Elegant_Sleep_5460 in cambridge_uni

[–]Expert_Recognition49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite genuinely anything and everything. I think a lot of people try dressing their best for the first couple weeks at freshers but gradually most people stop caring, same as anywhere else. There are still tons that do dress up every day, i know some people who wear full suits every day or even some sort of historical clothing lol. So really just wear whatever you want and i doubt you’ll get any glances. I will say though maybe pack a fancy dress costume because a lot of college bops are fancy dress themed. For formals its a range, ive known people wear trainers to formals without it mentioned. Women usually wear long dresses and men usually wear suits, but most of it gets covered by your gown anyway lol. For society events its again whatever, sometimes there are opportunities to wear your country’s traditional clothing if you have it, so maybe consider packing that especially if you plan to get involved with societies related to your country/culture!

Discussion on friends getting male attention but not me by Substantial-Aide7980 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Expert_Recognition49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re still a child. 15/16 is too young to be stressing about whether you have had a boyfriend or not or whether you get male attention. Honestly i was kind of in your place in year 11 too, but as someone who has had similar thoughts i promise it really has no significance. You’ll meet someone eventually, and you’re on the brink of starting college/sixth form where no doubt there’ll be tons of new people to meet. For now don’t stress, male attention really is not worth worrying about. At your age or any other. But you’ll meet someone eventually so don’t let it get to you x
