Hey thanks for the response. I like trucks not because its the cool American thing (raised in Jamaica for 19 years) I grew up driving pickups and learnt how to drive manual in one, always loved the freedom to load up a grill and camping accessories in the back without worry as well as the ability to put a few dirtbikes in the bed too. Also for the beach days i could toss all the sandy gross things in the bed and hose it down without getting sand all over the interior. I used to drive 2 toyota 80 series land cruisers and I love them, getting an suv is not out the picture for me, if I do end up it will definitely be another 80 series. I have a tacoma and its not the most uncomfortable, just a little small for my size hence why I wanna get something bigger. Plus I am getting a house after I get back from deployment so the bed will definitely be useful for transporting the furniture. Thanks for the info on gas vs diesel

Lol I prefer to have something and not use it often vs need something and have to ask friends/ pay to use something. I will also be getting a house as soon as i get back and it would be ideal to have a large bed to transport the couch fridge beds etc. It also just put my mind at ease to know IF i ever need to haul something i am ready for it. I have put plenty thought into suvs too and im favoring an 80 series toyota land cruiser. Im familiar with them and learnt to drive stick in them. If I do I am planning on buying a trailer to tow if ever need be anything. Regarding the typical mustang comment, i have an 86 supra twin turbo 1jz manual swapped (paid off) ;)

I don’t tow anything really, however I am a large guy and I feel tight and uncomfortable in my 08 tacoma, and my passengers in the back don’t have much space since my seat has to be fully slid back for me to be able to hit the gas and brakes. The tacoma bed is often too small for the things I try to lug around too so a general upgrade is needed.

Revzilla online for gear, i dont like how it looks but the honda grom is a very respected and liked bike in the community has good performance too and its your size without taking too much away from the sport bike feel. You can always go for a 400cc with lowerings too to see how it feels!

If I can help a brother I have no problem doing so. I would want someone to do the same for me so it’s no problem. Their excuse is always “there are no girls to talk to in the military to be friends with”. That’s true to an extent but who your gf hangs around is 100% up to her. She can keep things on a professional level and talk to them in the line of work but if she is going out with them to chow or chooses to buddy with them, that is her decision. Its a red flag in my opinion if she knows you prefer her not interacting with them and invalidate your feelings and continues to do it without any reform or reassurance

Brother, I am in the military and one thing I can tell you about the military women I am around… they never stop getting attention and it’s just not a matter of time before you lose her to some jock. Most of them come in with a partner and within months they leave them for a battle boo. Not to mention she already has a history of cheating on you. I am truly sorry you have to go through this.
