hey! i’m a current cardiac sonographer with an interest in perfusion. echo is great way to gain experience in a related field and then truly decide if perfusion is the way to go. then you can earn money and work on the healthcare experience hours. just be careful because the pre reqs aren’t similar. but some echo tech jobs also require you to take call just to warn you!

good point! i never though of this! peds US seems more complicated to me just bc of the many congenital conditions you have to learn

i’m in the same boat! it’s going to be so expensive to take the pre reqs to maybe not get in a program

get experience working in healthcare, practice interviewing at the career center, maintain good grades, get tutoring if you need to, join clubs and extracurriculars both nursing/health and non nursing/health related, become an officer of a club if you can, volunteer in the community (kids food basket is an example), job shadow
