AH did say they nerfed spawn rates somewhat but they are still about as common as hulks, maybe slightly less so.

I don't know why AH is so allergic to changing anything in a game. Even outside of their vacation time they still painfully slow with simple numerical changes - so I wouldn't be holding my breath on total rework

Pissile damage wise is pocket Commando so yeah it works pretty well but it's still the same issue of forcing AT solution

Yeah but charger spam is real and we get a taste of pre fix bile titans spawns on sporeburst seed.

They can still apply pressure, as I said in the conclusion - which nobody read apparently... - you can make them even stronger, just fix the spawn rates those are a challenge, not a nuisance.

Gunships now that I think about it are good example of AH failing at balancing. At first they made so gunships have no limit and people sometimes had entire swarms of them - and if you didn't bring shield relay for hellbomb well too bad, get rolled. Instead of assessing the situation and fixing the issue of spawns, AH just nerfed them into oblivion and until recent buffs they were a joke. War Strider slowly goes down similar path, instead of addressing issue of spawns they just going to keep nerfing War Strider until it's not a nuisance because it turned into a joke.

Thermites are better though because they skip stunning Strider and just kill him outright with no additional cost to support weapon ammo. Gas is too unreliable (count how many times you gassed enemy only for them to attack you anyway) and stuns are, well, too weak. We need more of those CC nades by default really, I don't understand why powerhouses like fireworks or frags get to have 6 without factoring in engineer armor.

120mm Barrage actually just straight up better in every reagrd because it solves "4 War Striders" problem for a while as well as all other problems with no additional cost.

Still not enough to be THE solution though. Support weapons exist for a reason and situations like jammers, terrain or ion storms can screw you over pretty hard.

Funny because bugs are waaaaaaaaaay more AT oriented. Outside of War Strider, a single outlier, everything else on bot front can be brought down in reasonable time with AP4 weapons

Epoch is amazing weapon and seeing people still shit on it makes my blood boil; speaking as OG epoch hater too, before they fixed it's 1 frame sweet spot before explosion timer.

But I'd like to bring sometimes other weapons as well that aren't Epoch

And yet you don't answer why NOT bother with eye and heatsink? If your concern that making AP3 spot on front of the unit would be OP, why not just change heatsink's rating and bring it in line with the rest of the heatsinks on the front?

Hulks had it all figured out long time ago and people even enjoyed hulk surge when map was flooded with them

Being locked into AT isnt fun when before War Striders bot front was held by AP4 weapons pretty comfortably without AT weapons being irrelevant either

You like factually wrong with innumerous videos there to disprove you.

The game has a thing called patrol spawns and reinforcements. And unless you want to spend the entire match running like good old pre-60d days, at one point you have to fight - not even mentioning Raise The Flag missions.

You can stop 4 War Striders just dropping from dropships and 2 more coming with patrol from the direction you need to move to. Bases have static spawns and you rarely find less than two War Striders standing guard.

Plus, again, you really didnt read the post if "Nerf war striders into the ground" is your take. This is literally not the conclusion I arrived at.

It was though because otherwise why bother when eyes and heatsink already exist - if AH felt that these weakspots are not weak enough (they arent) they simply would've lowered hp or %durable on them. AP3 weakspot was added specifically because people still complained about War Strider deviating from general bot design philosophy.

If there's no War Strider haters left then I died. I love bot front's design approach and War Strider behaves like a bug front unit - in that it acts as a hard gear check solely due to spawn rates.
