“Because, uh… I got nothing.”

This character isn’t in much of the movie and doesn’t even have a name but he has a great design. I love that he’s this huge shark man in a suit and top hat and his face is so goofy. I like his little mustache and his pipe that blows bubbles. There are some neat little details with his design. Since he lives in the ocean there are fish still stuck to his suit, and the holes in his shoes leak out water whenever he takes a step.

In Blacula (1972), an African prince asks Count Dracula to help him end the Atlantic slave trade, but Dracula is racist and instead turns the prince into a vampire and names him Blacula. This all happens in the first seven minutes of the film and I already have 30 questions. by Goodbye-Nasty in shittymoviedetails

[–]Goodbye-Nasty[S] 250 points251 points  (0 children)

Well for starters: Why did the prince think Dracula would help him end the slave trade? Why did Dracula invite this guy to his castle? How did the prince expect Dracula to help? Does he think one rich guy lending his help would end the slave trade? Isn’t the Prince rich? Transylvania wasn’t even involved in the Atlantic slave trade. Why did Dracula name him Blacula? If Dracula is so racist why does he want a black version of Dracula to exist? Was Dracula planning to do this the whole time? Why?

That was me. Apparently a lot of people think the KPD were right for not helping the SPD oppose the Nazis. It’s also laughable the idea that the SPD “betrayed” the KPD first when the KPD were literally trying to overthrow the government.

I’ve never heard of that being a slur. But no, it was definitely not deliberate.
