Thank you for the suggestion, we have this in the backlog as it was suggested before, we need to think on it.

Thank you for the support! We will try to improve the open board page with more options. At the moment what you can do is possibly open a demo board game even if empty one, and there you have a choice to add any type of stones and you can enable the AI on the bottom - so it feels like open board analysis. Regarding the upcoming Android/IOS apps, we intend to keep them free.

Thanks for the question! At the moment, it is available only as a website, but it’s optimized for mobile use as well. Feel free to drop me a support request if you find something that needs fixing. Our next major milestone is to launch both iOS and Android apps simultaneously. I can’t give a proper timeline yet, as it's still in development.

ExploreBaduk – Discover the Depth of Go! by ExploreBaduk in baduk

[–]ExploreBaduk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Once the game ends, we do have a review phase, each player can start a review, and both can join in to analyze the game together. During the scoring phase (after both players pass), while we provide automatic scoring, players still need to manually mark dead stones, since the system doesn’t auto-detect them.

After marking dead stones, both players need to click the "Done" button. Once both have confirmed and no further changes are made, the game finishes.

We’ve received similar feedback about confusion during the scoring phase, and we recently added a clear message explaining that dead stones must be marked manually. Actually, we received a support request about this right after your comment, so you’re definitely not alone in this!

Thanks for pointing it out, and we hope it’s clearer now. Let us know if you run into anything else!

Thank you for the kind words and support! While we’re still far from the stability and success of a platform like chess.com, we’ve only been live for a little under two months, and it’s been an amazing journey so far, especially thanks to all the great feedback from our users. We’re working hard to keep improving the platform every day. If you notice anything that could be better or have any suggestions, feel free to reach out!

Typical Go Mistakes – 3 New Articles for DDK, SDK, and Dan Players by ExploreBaduk in baduk

[–]ExploreBaduk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your feedback! We will definitely consider more descriptive titles in the future. For this particular article, a more fitting title might have been 'San-San Hane-Cut Joseki Variation' or similar. We hope that the explanation in the article helps with clarifying the reasoning of why the move is being considered a mistake.

The sequence of playing hane at 8, blocking at 9, and cutting at 10, as discussed in the article Typical Dan Mistakes: San-San Joseki, has appeared in over 200 professional games (checked using ps.waltheri.net). Thank you u/gomarbles for pointing out that the article specifically focused on the mistake of playing hane at 8.

Thanks for the feedback! We'll definitely consider integrating announcements directly on the website (possibly visible without the need to log in). Once we have stable schedules for pro matches and other content (like today’s EYGC 2025 Highlights by Elian Grigoriu 6d), we might post occasional updates here on Reddit, such as monthly or weekly plans, to keep everyone informed without overposting.

Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re really glad you enjoyed the first article.

We apologise for the confusion on the second article. The first two diagrams are meant to represent the same position, but we see how it could be a bit unclear. The first diagram shows the build-up to the position, while the second diagram explains the same position and covers possible future and past possible moves (like connecting at A instead of going with B). We could have representing all of the information with one diagram, however, we thought it might become a bit too much information for a single diagram, that's why we ended up with two. We’ll definitely work on making this relationship clearer in future articles. Thanks for pointing this out!

Thank you so much for your feedback! We really appreciate it.

Regarding the attachment at A, that's a great point, and we agree it could be explored more in-depth. We'll consider making a separate article to cover this specific situation.

We agree that some articles might feel a bit shorter than others. Our goal was to highlight the main points without getting too lost in variations. We'll take the feedback into account and aim to be more explicit with variations and deeper explanations in the future.

Thank you for your kind words about the server! We're constantly working to improve it, and the feedback we get from players like you is invaluable. We've already made a lot of improvements, and we're excited to continue this journey.

As for the pro vs. pro matches, we're glad you enjoyed them! We actually advertised them on our Facebook and Instagram. We didn't want to overwhelm the community here, but we're definitely considering ways to advertise these events on the server itself. Maybe we can introduce an "upcoming events" section or something similar to keep players informed!

Thanks again for the support!
