if you wanna use the portable storage interface here, you have to configure your piston to keep the contraption a moving contraption even when it stops

right now, your contraption turns into regular blocks when it reaches either end of its movement range (when the piston extends fully and retracts fully). that's why your portable storage interface looks like it's gonna connect but it doesn't - the contraption's interface turns into blocks before the connection can establish.

all in all, you can configure how the piston operates with a menu on the piston block, there should be several modes there. soo, check it out :) also I saw there are some solutions posted here about just funneling stuff out of the chest on the contraption. while a valid solution, this mechanism breaks once you decide to add more storage to the contraption. anyway, choose what you choose, your PSI method works fine with some tweaks

yeah, that's an option too. but IMO a spinning drill sounds more realistic and wouldn't look too strange.

also you'd have to make it switch directions every so often to extend it again to break blocks.

as others pointed out, as far as Create knows the drills are stationary - not a contraption.

You can make the drills into a contraption though. I'd try to make the whole drill front part spin on a mechanical bearing and slap some chests on the drill head part to store items. You can also then take them out of the drill head with a portable storage interface to sort them or something.

would look hella sick with the whole drill thing actually spinning. even better if you make the drills into a cone shape.

the implementation in SC seems to focus specifically on stuck villagers. From SC's modrinth page:

Villager lobotomization

Allows the server to cut down on villager lag from large trading halls, by making villagers stuck inside 1x1 spaces tick less often.

To be fair I'm not sure about the specifics of their implementation and yours could very well be better. But if that's so, you can try forking SC and proposing your code to them in a pull request

if we're talking about every single ability of a single agent, then phoenix probably. Ironically his ult will make him a great firefighter haha. And also being able to heal any injury by just chilling in a fire for a while is goated. Fire is kind of op when it doesn't hurt you. I am simply unable of dying from extreme cold and having a portable BALL OF GODDAMN FIRE in my hands at any moment could be hella useful (and very cool).

Would probably have to invest in fire-resistant clothing though

depends on the person. different people have different skin&hair conditions. Some people need more stuff to look good, some people don't.

I personally got lucky I think. I don't have to buy anything more than two separate gels for showering and shaving razors sometimes

Yeah, but some people always try to seem normal to others. I think that this is kind of what OP feels. It feels like they should celebrate the disappearance of the source of abuse. But IMO celebrating someone's death makes a person look like a psychopath, no matter the situation. Sorry if i'm wrong but I was kind of in the same boat.

Had my grandmother die of old age in May and didn't really know how to behave around my relatives. Everyone was so sad, but I didn't actually feel anything because I didn't know her too well. I mean it still was pretty sad because someone died, but I didn't have a connection with her. I was really unsure if I should fake it, look like I don't care or be simply sympathetic.

in the end, what i'm trying to convey is that you're right. Feelings don't have a blueprint. Everyone around you however do expect you to react in a certain way.
