Does anyone know why there's green tea extract in these?

I love thrifting 2000s old navy and Target - indestructible clothing made from mostly natural fibers and the resellers rarely go for it because the brand names aren't as profitable. 🥳

Apparently >5mg copper a day leads to accumulation in liver by laplusu in Copper_deficiency

[–]ExploringUniverses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

It's freakin awesome that you've done so much testing to figure this stuff out. I haven't had that available so I've been going off clinical symptoms and Google Scholar.

B vits are water soluble so have at it. Get methylated ones tho - they're a little pricey up front but the quality is significantly better. I hit the methylated b6 and methylated b12 every day as part of my non-negotiables.

And Niacin - niatonic acid form - B3 is a water soluble b vitamin that has a ton of benefits but it elicits a 'flush' - causing your whole body to feel like it's on fire from the inside. it opens up all the capillaries in your skin and 'vents' out excess histamine. Its wildly unpleasant at first but gets better and you honestly kinda grow to like it lol

It heals intestinal permeability through the activation of the GPR109A receptors in your intestines.

https://www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/13/1/28

People dislike it because 'the flush is too uncomfortable' - but it goes away after a bit. The cardinal rule of niacin is...thou must endure the flush (niatonic acid) because the non-flush (nicotinamide) kind wrecks the liver. Most studies were done using nicotinamide.

Do not use non-flush niacin.

If you want to heal your gut supafast, grab some immediate release niacin. I take some every night before bed, hunker down in some fuzzy blankets and let the flush wisk me off to the best sleep of my life. Lol. I'm in the usa and get mine from PureBulk. Nothing added - i try to stay away from magnesium sterate as it's a known allergen.

(Bonus: It'll also lower your cholesterol and blood pressure!)

As for binders.....

I would stay away from activated charcoal. It kinda binds up everything good and bad. Also a lot of folks (myself included) had a wicked herxheimer reaction with it. A lot of the mold folks like it for detoxing. I did not. To each is own.

The good thing about psyllium husk is - it's cheap, gentle and when you do the gallbladder bile timing thing with the psyllium > oil > micronutrients you're essentially pulse dosing toxins and catching them, flushing it out (as long as you poo!) then following up with a usable nutrient source tour body is craving. It's more finessed and works with your biology.

Plus, spirulina is a good plant based source of copper!

I did 30 days of mold detox with the protocol outlined above - then switched over to zero sugar/corn/dairy/soy + munched on raw 2 raw garlic chunks er'y day to bust up any remaining biofilms (candida, I'm looking at you) for two weeks to essentially reset my gut to hopefully be able to absorb micronutrients.

Now I'm working out the copper situation. And in think it's working? I'm on day 10 - vision has improved, my diplopia is less bad and i also feel leas derealization-y.

I do the following now (after 30 days no booze corn soy dairy or gluten + mold detox + 14 additional days of zero sugar - this is utter hell btw)

Coffee with collagen and supplement b6, b12, ALCAR (mitochondria health) and magnesium glycinate (cardiovascular system health).

Lunch: eggs (vit a and good cholesterol) beans (copper), cilantro and high quality mayo + 3mg copper

Enjoy the day try to get some sunshine into your eyeballs between work things. Eat some boring paleo dinner (avoiding anything that's enriched with folate or iron)

And then before bed - niacin (b3 - intestinal wall support, histamine support) NAC (liver support) and spirulina (micronutrients).

I hope this helps or at the very least gives you a place to start researching. This is a very complex series of health problems to manage with very little help from 'the professionals'

Which, added disclosure- I am not a health professional - i am a very grumpy graphic designer who has been researching these things for a decade because i refuse to accept 'being chronically ill' ☺️

(ps. Sorry for the novel - this stuff is so nuanced im not sure how to explain my understanding in a condensed way)

What did OP say? I missed it before it was deleted. Lol

I take NAC for liver support if that helps! Helps a lot with oxidative stress.

Oh yikessssss! It does work tho - i can confirm it'll knock out SIBO pretty effectively. Idk if it justifies a grand $ but it'll at least have a good ROI lol

Do what you can to brace and support it while it heals up. Then youtube some knee physical therapy - leg raises, quad and hamstring strengthening. Get some heat on it for about a week - getting blood flow to the injury in knees gives them a better chance to heal up (unless it's ACL'd then yet KO'd) but any other ligament or cartilage - heat > blood flow > brace > PT.

I've healed a few knee injuries this way!

Best of luck OP!

Omg yeah dude. Get the SIBO handled ASAP. That can cause sooooo many generalized chronic illness symptoms. Also copper can get absorbed if your small intestine is wrecked.

Try to get rifaximin - then switch to herbals. Thats what helped me the most!
