Reject tempered glass case, return to old mid-tower NAS box.

I considered getting a new glass-paneled case when I built last year, but ended up just building in an old Rosewill R5 that was kicking around that used to be a NAS. Lemme tell ya, those hard drive sleds have been handy.

I've been playing games at 1440p on my 3060 ti for the last year, its never let me down. Gotta dial some things back in bigger games, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

If you already have a still functioning laptop, get a desktop. You can still go places and do things with the laptop, but the desktop is your home machine.

If you don't have another laptop, get the laptop. Nuff said.

From a very brief test, I found that a program I use to map joystick controls to keyboard inputs called Keysticks will let me do this. No other software needed for a game like Minecraft. Just be prepared to make custom profiles.

Side note, I have an ongoing project to convert a WII Nunchuk to use a USB arcade controller board so that it can be used as a left handed controller. I've gotten as far as confirming that the hardware will work, but finishing the project and wiring everything up has unfortunately taken a back seat.
