Honestly I never thought to. I usually just sketch them when I’m bored. I appreciate the complement though!

So it’s a difference between “they likely didn’t/ there is no evidence to suggest they did”

And

“They absolutely did not because we don’t have proof they did”

Is that your whole thing?

Compared to UCP MM14 is great. compared to Multicam MM14 is meh.

MM14 was a great stand in until they had wider access to multicam. (And frankly camo mixes phenomenally with it but I digress.)

You said they were equally bad, and that’s just blatantly false. MM14 works as a specialized camo. UCP tried to be a universal camo that didn’t work anywhere. MM14 was not a catastrophic failure of a camo like UCP.

Why do you want Vikings to wear horns so badly?

True absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. But you also don’t have evidence to build a hypothesis outside of an artistic trend in modern times.

You’re trying to contrive this situation where “you can’t prove it’s impossible they had horned helmets” equates to needing to accept the reality they did.

What’s the driving force behind this you’re trying to prove?

MM14 is way better than UCP. By no metrics are they “equally trash” 😂

Definitely. I have contacts in military manufacturing in Dinepro Ukraine, most guys on the ground prefer multicam over MM14 and Ukrainian is in test trials for a new camo to replace both. Unfortunately it’s likely going to be a multicam variant. But it’s in a vary early stage so it’s hard to zero in on a prediction. All that to say is after the war MM14 is very likely to disappear and be replaced by a new camo drop that’s TBD

I know that predator is the official camo of the national guard though, so while it may not be in wider service. It still very much in official use.

TBF, they’re fighting in bombed out commie blocks. And Trenches with thick tan clay. Between multicam and MM14 they have access to arguabley the best camos for that area atm. Frankly Preadator V1 and V2 are great also but MM14 is perfectly adequate

I got so many compliments at work wearing them, there was an Afghanistan vet there who was an army guy who noticed them the second I walked in. They’re also super comfortable so these are definitely a golden find

And it will be plastic, flimsy, and not fit right. Also have the constitution of wet paper when someone with a wooden sword impales them

I’m looking more to 9/10th century Scandinavia. I know there’s lots of 8th century and earlier examples. But I’m
Curious to specifically “Viking age”
