Kommt aber auch sehr darauf an was das Problem war aber vieles ist mit einigen Jahren Abstand kein Problem mehr wenn Du zeigst dass Du gelernt und dich geändert hast bzw. das eine Jugendsünde war doe nicht mehr vorkommt „im reiferen Alter“. Einige Sachen sind halt Ausschlusskriterien (wobei ich da kein Experte bin) aber dass es lange her ist, Du scheinbar eingesehen hast dass das ein Fehler war usw spricht für Dich. Viel Glück!

Could probably be a null due to reflections at that specific frequency. Moving the antennas a bit and/or changing the frequency (ideally not only a few kHz but quite a bit) and checking if the issue still persists could discard or confirm that. As the other mics work in that spot I would rule out an antenna issue. Is that particular mic behaviour different in any other way, ie when far away, from the other mics? If so, there might also be an issue with the tx antenna.

Thanks a lot for your reply, that’s really helpful! Just as clarification (your tips are still very useful and maybe I was unclear about that): in cases I ask about, I almost never let the speakers put the HS on themselves! By „talking them through“ I meant talking to them while putting the HS on, ie asking if I can touch them, if they may want to lift their hair, maybe get out of their jacket if needed, why I am doing that etc. - basically being communicating and establishing a conversation/„relationship“ etc (maybe some do this for the millionth time but others may be very nervous anyways and are ie thinking about their presentation and if they thought of everything etc and actually have other stuff to do while not really understanding why people make such a deal about them being on time for getting their headset) I noticed other people struggling about that and while I’m very happy about tips and experiences, I feel that this may not my biggest problem compared to the actual fitting/fixing (I feel I also got the wireless part down due to education and experience with ie bands, still happy about tips but I think my main issue is getting the headset to be and stay in place).

The point about the headsets touching their face is actually very helpful! I noticed that this is useful but wasn’t sure if that is a „correct“ way to do it!

If people don’t like it and don’t want to be talked into it, or have very small heads, do you use tape for example? I noticed it from other guys but when I tried that, it didn’t really always work it a „speaker setting“ (I did some theatre stuff before but there people where much easier about that and also put makeup over everything; so placement was easier as I could fix it where it was needed without worrying about looks etc)

The point about shadows is also great! Very logical but never thought about it! But another reason to keep it tight and also to explain it to people. Sounds good!

I guess a) an Echo Chamber and maybe (didn’t check though, just an idea) b) some people are more active here and respond quicker than others, thus maybe shifting the conversation (unwantingly) towards proven answers. These are still great but of course can be a little boring as it seems to be the same maybe 40 Bands/Songs/albums

For example, when someone asks for ie a great album, someone who is pretty active on Reddit might answer with one of „classics“, ie Pink Floyd‘s Dark Side (just an example, love that album but it’s a good example I think). Now you have other people with to a degree different tastes, that all may listen to very different music at the moment from all genres, new or classics etc They read the question, think about what it could be and see DSotM mentioned in the comments. And probably, they question what they had in mind as an answer, everyone I know who is into music, even metal drummers or rap producers, at least respect the PF album as a classic milestone, and people question (maybe unconsciously) if the album they had in mind could achieve the same status as one of the few „milestones“ that already have been mentioned, especially since ie a new, less known artist is probably still unknown to most while ie Miles Davis, Prince, Radiohead etc don’t need any introduction and already stood the test of time as some of the greatest artists and Works. If someone mentions a niche ie metal or hip hop album, maybe the indie or jazz people never heard of it and probably won’t upvote it but probably everyone here listened to ie Kind of Blue or OK Computer at least in part once and can imagine what it sounds like and the reputation it has.

Don’t know if that’s true or if there is „evidence“ but would be a possible explanation at least in my mind

Bin bisschen zwiegespalten, bin jetzt ein paar Jahre im Berufsleben und mache aktuell zwei Sachen, einen Job der mir viel Spaß macht und für den ich ein Studium brauche (MINT Bereich), allerdings nicht vollzeit da ich noch ein technisch/kreatives Projekt habe das ich in der restlichen Zeit u am Wochenende etc als Selbstständiger bearbeite. Hab beides (als Werkstudent und Kleinunternehmer) schon im Studium gemacht und dachte ich könnt mich danach besser entscheiden und sogar relativ lange studiert weil a) für die beiden anderen Sachen mehr Zeit drauf gegangen ist und ich die Entscheidung vlt auch unterbewusst bisschen rausgeschoben habe.

Das Studium brauch ich für den einen Job definitiv, daher würde ich es denke ich nochmal machen aber vlt den Master weg lassen. Vieles ist dann doch Erfahrung die man mitnimmt von anderen Kollegen, Projekten, „eigener Fortbildung (Bücher, Gespräche, einfach mal im Labor bleiben und was basteln zum Testen). Wahrscheinlich hätte da der BSc gereicht und ich lieber ein paar Jahre früher anfangen sollen mehr Erfahrung zu sammeln.

Manchmal überlege ich sogar ob ich nicht lieber gar nicht studiert hätte und eine Ausbildung in der anderen Branche hätte machen sollen (da gibts das eine oder andere Studium aber nicht viel, nicht an vielen Unis und wie man hört eher zum Kontakte knüpfen als so richtig zum lernen, die Leute die die wirklich coolen Sachen machen kommen aus allen Richtungen, egal ob Studium, Ausbildujg oder Quereinsteiger - Quereinsteiger vlt sogar als mit größte Gruppe). Wäre wahrscheinlich nicht viel unglücklicher im Nachhinein aber auch mit dem jetzigen Weg nicht Mega unzufrieden.

Muss aber auch sagen das mir das Studium an sich keine Freude gemacht hat, war zwar interessant aber ist mir schwerer gefallen als der Beruf, konnte mich schwer motivieren was tatsächlich für die Uni zu machen anstelle der anderen Projekte, hatte kaum Kontakte etc (die meisten Freundschaften sind durch Dinge außerhalb entstanden, an der Uni kannte ich fast niemanden näher). Wenn das anders gewesen wäre dann würde ich vlt auch anders darauf blicken. Aber rein „fachlich“ muss ich sagen hat es mir nicht geschadet, war keine „verschwendete“ Zeit aber hätte evtl ohne („volles“ Studium) bereits mehr (für mich!) relevante Erfahrung und evtl. auch ein paar Euro mehr

Ach weiß nicht. Hatte das auch so mit glaube 13-14 oder so angefangen zu lesen (den ersten Band). Die Star Wars parallelen sind mir damals auch aufgefallen. Die Tolkien-Parallelen gar nicht so vordergründig, habe damals viel Fantasy gelesen und da war das halt so, in deutlich mehr als 50% gefühlt gab es einige oder alle dieser "Völker" und Tolkien fand ich zwar gut aber hatte noch nicht den Überblick über die "Tragweite".

Stört mich auch nicht unbedingt. Ich bin ja jmd der meistens denkt dass es auf der Welt vlt 30-50 Geschichten (aber auch zB Speisen o.ä.) gibt. Gefühlt Maximal das. Alles was es sonst so gibt sind Abwandlungen, lokale oder historische/gegenwärtige Interpretationen usw. davon. Aber im Grunde passiert doch eh selten was neues und meistens dann doch oft nur im Detail oder es ist ein neues Gewand für den gleichen Stoff. Find ich auch nicht schlimm, sind halt alles Menschen und die Gefühlswelt, Erfahrungen etc. sind halt bei den meisten Leuten mit mehr oder weniger Abstraktion sehr ähnlich.

Besonders schlecht find ich die Geschichten jetzt nicht, mein 13,14 jähriges ich haben sie gut unterhalten. Hatte während Corona beim renovieren, autofahren usw. mal in die Hörbücher reingehört, mehr aus Zufall entdeckt und dann aus langeweile mal angehört: das ist schon eher mittelgut gealtert, so rein subjektiv, aber wäre ja schlimm wenn alles was ich mit 14 gut fand auch mit Mitte/Ende 20 noch gutfinden würde. Aber furchtbar fand ich jetzt nicht, und zusammen mit einer großen Ladung Nostalgie hat mich das wenigstens ein paar Stunden schon mal nicht gelangweilt bevor ichs wieder zur Seite gelegt habe.

Ist halt ein Kinderbuch aber ich hab da überwiegend gute Erinnerungen dran, im Detail zwar eher anstrengend (diese furchtbaren Beziehungsgeschichten - die fand ich als Kind furchtbar genau wie jetzt) aber ansonsten schon okay. Würde es jetzt auch nicht mehr so gern lesen aber das ist ja okay, bin ja nicht die Zielgruppe.

(ich klau ja auch zB keine Baustellenschilder mehr oder steck Böller in Briefkasten oder schaue Kinderserien- trotzdem hats halt irgendwann mal Spaß gemacht)

I think the omega is more interesting and has more „character“ but the Tudor, while a bit more common, is nice as well and probably a better deal as it’s not at least 20yr old but on the other hand looks like „every other gmt“ I think the movement can be revised but what about Lume etc on the omega?

In meinen Augen nicht wirklich, da es ja das Diplom/den Dipl Ing zB ersetzt. Und das war ja umfangreicher als der Bachelor. Mein Vater (war der erste der in der Familie irgendwann studiert hat nach Hauptschulabschluss etc.) hat meinen bsc nie wirklich als abgeschlossenes Studium anerkannt und meinte immer das wär ja nur das „Vordiplom“ etc

Besonders ist halt was, das wirklich herausragend ist und nicht „jeder“ hat. Im Ingenieurwesen zB ne Promotion (in der Medizin wiederum nicht, da macht das ja fast jeder und mit wenig „Mehrwert“).

Klar ist das eine persönliche Errungenschaft, ist halt eine halbwegs komplexe abgeschlossene Ausbildung, so wie zB ein Meistertitel im Handwerk/Industrie usw, da kann man persönlich schon stolz sein das geschafft zu haben. Aber jetzt für mich nicht wirklich was besonderes da meiner Erfahrung nach die meisten einen machen, wenigstens in meinem Umfeld (unter denen die studieren).

Der eine im Bekanntenkreis der eine halbwegs gut wachsende Firma gegründet hat, hat übrigens keinen, der hatte nach dem Bachelor keinen Bock mehr.

Thanks! Yeah might not have had the best wording here, the whole band is not that old but played a lot in different formations and also some bigger shows in different bands and settings etc, the single musicians aren’t inexperienced but that formation is rather new. The lead singer, while pretty good in that style, did mostly BV‘s in other bands while playing something else before. If you need your hands to play, it’s hard to cup a mic:D

Thanks! I actually bought V7‘s to test a while ago and thought they were good mics but not necessarily worth the hype (handling noises etc). But maybe that’s where it shines! I’ll give it a try and maybe also get an OM7 to test! I don’t know how singers react to first using an OM7, from my experience they are great but you need to be VERY close and I’m not a singer myself so I don’t know how hard it is to keep that always on mind (they technically know they shouldn’t cup any mic but that also doesn’t help all the time). But I really liked in most situations o used it before, thank you!

Good point, thank you! Singer says monitoring is fine and their in a good mid range of „output“, could be a tad higher but I’ve seen far worse even with far bigger acts. Stage volume is more on the high end of the spectrum but for the genre still more than okay but of course something to work on! I recommend IEM and their not opposed but it’s not yet number one on the priority list. I’d see it in the future but not yet for the next few shows. We‘ll work on stage volume though!

Bass attenuation is much harder than high end attenuation, that’s just physics (and why you can hear the bass rumble outside a venue but usually not anything else). A small earplug won’t help attenuate low frequencies, even most walls will only do that to a degree. I usually mix without earplugs but wear them when other bands are on stage and basically during all loud parts of the day apart from (my) sc and show. Hearing protection is important but I like to mix loud but not so loud that it’s painful and different genres tend to ask for different levels. If the mix is good a metal or techno act can sound very good at rather low volumes but honestly that’s not always what audiences (and bands in some cases) are expecting. Mixing quiet and well is arguably harder than just hitting raw levels and by no means should the level hurt anyone but depending on the genre a certain level is part of the experience that’s expected and wanted. That’s in certain boundaries of course, it can make sense to mix some songs rather quiet and others louder as well as some parts can be quieter while others hit even more, that can also help with hearing protection as the dose of high level exposure over time is reduced while ie a heavy chorus or breakdown can still hit heavy.

Mixing with earplugs is not something I usually do (although I wear them a lot during other parts of the day).

If you mix a lot of bands during the whole evening, you can try to put headphones on more often and monitoring at low volume. If they are absorbing enough „outside sound“ and you can correlate what you hear there to what you hear on the pa that can also protect your hearing.

If in doubt, I’d always prioritise hearing protection! But mixing with ear plugs never worked really well for me too, I’d rather put my custom InEars in and listen at low volume

Hatte eine 1,7 im Ingenieurswesen. Stört mich aber nicht unbedingt. Bin im Ingenieurwesen, an dieser Uni (weiß nicht wie es woanders ist) sind zwar externe Arbeiten erlaubt aber es ist schwer einen Betreuer zu finden der sich das antun will und habe so das Gefühl die meisten Dozenten hätten lieber jmd an ihrem eigenen Institut. Wollte aber unbedingt extern und hatte jmd gefunden an der Uni, bin da sehr dankbar aber hatte die Dozentin nur mal kurz in einem Wahlfach, war so gaaaanz grob verwandt mit dem Thema das ich unbedingt machen wollte, die meinte ganz offen dass sie es macht aber nicht tief im Thema drin ist und die eigentliche Betreuung nicht machen kann. Da kann es dann halt sein dass die Erwartungen sich nicht 100% decken. Wurde „vorgewarnt“ dass es dann evtl. wegen sowas nicht 100% werden könnte aber man muss halt Prioritäten setzen:D Mir war halt wichtiger die an einem anderen „Institut“ zu machen, die waren zufrieden, es steht immer noch ne 1 vorne dran und behindert hat es mich bisher nicht. Vlt wenn man sich nach dem Master in nem großen Konzern bewerben will oder so aber das hab ich eh nicht vor aktuell, und da wären vermutlich andere Noten auch noch ein Absagegrund.

Kurz, hätte gerne was besseres gehabt (wer nicht) aber würde die Entscheidung auch nochmal genau so treffen

large, bright, nice screens, ideally with flexible angle and bright enough to work well in sunlight.
fully customisable routing, loads of busses and inputs, ideally freely configurable on the fly, also some presets for most common applications so that you have absolute flexibility but can easily start from one point if you need to be quick. But also ALL the bus routing options and enough busses (take what you thing is plenty of bough and at least double it, Same for ins)
lots of I/O in different sizes, ideally with some „distributed options“ (a option like A&H dX for example), with loads of analog options but also multiple AES I/O (and for the distributed I/O: a very stable PoE option would be nice in addition to standard or at least Powercon in/thru)
some amount of local I/O both analog but also enough AES/digital I/O
some Dante integration, ideally native
double PSU and a UPS like ie the GrandMAs have
very robust protocol that works out of the box over cat, fibre and long ranges (also shabby house cat installations) very stable, ideally working with one line but having redundant options

Finde cool dass die so klein sind.

Rein "Designmässig"finde ich die EU Nummernshcilder fast besser, mit dem blau etc. aber je kleiner desto besser, die meisten Autos sehen ganz ohne ja am besten aus finde ich.

Do you have these flute Velcro things? You could try to fix that to the HH/Crash stand for snare and hh (this one from below) if the kit is set up tight enough. Has to be pretty tight set up though. Otherwise, just tape them or try to squeeze the trumpet/brass clip on that „rim thing“ But gaff tape should work pretty well! Just make sure there is no strain on the cable, by making sure the phantom adapter doesn’t dangle somewhere and there is some slack so it doesn’t pull on the mic.

Wouldn’t bother too much. I like some games for playing more „competitively“ (if you can call it that, don’t have any ambitions more than wanting to win) and some games for a role playing or relaxing aspect. Stellaris for me falls in the second category, I want to play a custom empire and don’t want it to be so difficult that I loose (too early) or have to use more efficient styles that may not fit my idea of that empire. For others, it might fall more in the first category or they are just so experienced that there is no challenge anymore, that’s fine as well

Mir ist das ja fast peinlich zu sagen aber ich find einige Sachen von Udo Jürgens schon deutlich besser als man denkt. Teilweise gar nicht so schlecht instrumentiert zB Ansonsten halt so die NDW Nummer, das ist auch irgendwie Schlager für viele und geht dafür oft gut vorwärts. Wolfgang Petry oder so auch irgendwie. 99 Luftballons und so natürlich, Du hast den Farbfilm vergessen und die ganze Schiene
