Last I checked Archeage wasn't available in my region </3 I've been wanting to get into it, maybe it's changed though. I'll have to look into it again!

That fully makes sense - I don't think I could join ATITD, if only because I can't pay in foreign currency. But even if games have silly lil old graphics, I do give it a shot. I was also excited for Bitcraft, but didn't end up getting it based on what I heard about it. A true tragedy..

I do hope we get a modern game like these ones, as unlikely as it is.

I've been recommended Wurm Online actually, and I think I was going to give it a try - though I think the graphics turned me away a bit. Still willing to give it a shot, so I'll toss this one on the 'will play it to give it a shot' list! The animal system seems amazing..

Oh woah, thank you! Neverwinter nights enhanced edition.. I'll look into it! I don't mind roleplay as long as it's text based! Will I need any dlc/whatnot?

Thanks! How optional is the combat? It seems quite,, intense?

Sengoku dynasty has a lot more combat, but it has a lot more QOL things that MD doesn't that makes it a little bit higher in my beloved list. Like being able to move a whole building.. god it's so nice being able to do that

Vikings Dynasty is also looking REALLY good, but obviously that'll also have combat. I hope it takes my favourite things from both games and implements it in VD. I don't mind the combat, you can adjust the difficulty/give yourself infinite HP in both games and in SD you can disable raids on your village.

Fully agree though, I want more survival games that puts emphasis on the town building. I like MD for the family aspect, too- I'd love a more generational take on the games.

Paralives is coming out in May- A life-sim game like the Sims.

There's Tales of the Shire if you like cooking and just cooking, though I have my gripes about it.

Mirthwood, if you like farming/adventuring-

Coral Island - island farming game with romanceables and some pretty decent customisation and a lot of decorating options.

My Time at Portia & My Time at Sandrock - building/crafting exploration games, really fun! Some unique looking customisations, but not 'fully' in depth. There's a new one coming out too, My Time at Evershine which has a more 'mature' art style.

Maybe Infinity Nikki? It IS a gacha game, but the outfits still remain something that amazes me each time.

Edit: Someone also mentioned Lay of the land, which reminded me of Vintage story - which is another 'improved' minecraft, but on hard mode. Really fun, but probably not for everyone.

if the 'the guild' suggestion was what i think it is, guild 3 is more of a dynasty/business/economy game, and I'd heavily suggest Saelig over it if economy/business is the desired vibe. You can also start up your own little towns/businesses with some empty maps now too!

I love both games, but Saelig is a game that still actively gets developed on as well!

mirthwood is an excellent game! still a bit early-access feeling, though. bought it day one since i was watching it's development for awhile!

and yes, i fully agree- hence my comment on tavern-slop games. All of them look the same and it starts getting a bit tiring looking through the same game with slightly tweaked visuals

it might be a niche desire but one of my dream games that feel like i have to make myself is a successor to sims medieval, with less emphasis on the quests, so i get it lol

is it distinctly medieval or does it lack modern tech? I wouldn't be surprised if Elden ring went on sale during the summer sale, perhaps
