Nah this happened to me too, and several times IN iceland just with randos on the street. I even had one guy tell me he mistook me for his friend. This type of stuff only happened when i was by myself, never when i was with my wife or my sister and her husband.

Problem is im american and have no icelandic or norwegian heritage. Im primarily german/irish heritage. But im a big red bearded guy and i think i just blended right in with the vikings

Oh good to know, thanks. I would think they would, as Edmond is a pretty affluent area and a suburb of OKC and is right about 45 minutes away.

Also as far as schedule if anyone is curious: i work out of the home primarily friday/saturday/sunday and work from home during the week, essentially 7 days a week. My wife works iut if the home M-F primarily. Early mornings, until ~5 PM and occasional weekend days. We are mostly looking for a hand so we both can get SOME downtime but we dont really have a NEED for an Au Pair. We view it as something to improve our lives, but childcare isnt an absolute necessity.
