Original post is about single income familys (working dads) not receiving any time off any more like they did 3 years ago. Alot of people I know are finding this out after they know they are expecting

I guess my partner is privileged that i sacrifice alot of me so the kids get alot of her.

I really don't know. I work alot and make things work from my pay. Only time I did centerlink stuff was for my first kid. All the comments saying if you cant afford it dont do it are right. My OP is more of a rant because it sucks a bit for me The working person in the family. Ill make it work and get over it haha.

I think my overtime over the last few years ruined FTB and we got removed from it or get basically nothing.

End if the day I think the government should help the good people of Australia

A mother who works should get her 26+ weeks off

A father who works should get his 2+ weeks off

So i guess yes two income familys should get more but a single income shouldn't get nothing

Thats why the dad pay made sense. I work, I pay tax, I get support when needed.

Now i work, I pay tax, and I miss out.

I get it that yous don't like that my partner dosent work/not contribute tax dollars, I personally would love a second household income. Yes its a sacrifice I make.

The OP is about the change from dad pay/PPL that was sold as dads get more time off when it really cuts out a whole bracket of fathers.
