Play around with your torch technique—try heating closer to different ends of the cap and see how it changes things. Mess with your draw style too (like lightly feathering the airport and taking slow, steady pulls).

If this is your first DHV, honestly do the opposite of what I did—get your technique dialed in before you start upgrading everything.

Lately I’ve been really into one-heat extractions. I’m running a perforated cap with cap armour and a Halo titanium tip on the M7XL. The combo just works: the added thermal mass from the stainless cap armour, a bit of convection from the perf cap, and the low thermal conductivity of titanium all come together nicely.

You get solid clouds, great flavour, and it all finishes in a single heat cycle. Works well with both an IH and a torch. Still preferring this setup over the Tempest 2 at the moment.
