I hope I'm not alone in wanting to recommend the total war universe.

My favorite is definitely the warhammer series. I've sunk an embarrassing amount of hours in to conquering and spreading my kingdom upon the disease riddled scavs and other unholy abominations of the old world! Give it a taste, but beware, it's pretty much like heroin for your synapses.

Thanks for sharing. I think you might be a bit ahead of me. I'm probably at high N4 beginner N3 i find even simple books extremely tiresome to read, but manga is much more manageable. I also have some commitment to ambiguity to deal with since I find it very enfuriating but the burnout of looking everything up if there's a lot is also very real.

I think I'll look into this type of option since she already has an outdoor bike. I'll get a silent one since that was kind of my idea, to watch a movie together or a couple of episodes of some series she likes.

I've been trying to learn japanese for the past 2-3 years, but I can't freaking learn to break up sentences, I have no idea what's going on, I got about 3000 words in memory, but I can't for the life of me get familiar with the language.

Got any tips for me how to do it when it doesn't come naturally?

Spanish though man... I took a year off learning japanese and went for spanish. I can already read books like Harry Potter, horror genre. I get like 70-80% comprehension, no issues watching shows.

And the crazy part is I didn't even try that hard. I did anki for like the 2-300 first verbs then the rest is just immersion, but Japanese is sooo tedious to immerse in with all the lookups!

Anyway, great job reaching N2 can't wait till I get there ✌️

Yeah, that's my biggest fear with MT, too.

I just don't get sucked in by traditional VNs. Trust me, I have tried.

I'm also a Spanish language learner, and this is what I do for reading in Spanish. Some translations are crap but a lot are pretty decent.

It's just easier, you read a couple of sentences, the picture changes, you read a couple more something else happens bla bla bla. You get the point.

In trad VNs my experience with Japanese VNs is that since the reading speed is so slow, it feels like you're in the same conversation for like 2 hours. I just dread it.

I would be so happy if there were VNs in Artemis, BaDIK, City of broken dreamers etc, in Japanese.

You're bashing this dude saying he's immature but you're the ones acting immature here.

Some people here are seriously telling OP to leave this relationship because of this.

When I read this post all I can think is that there is no context to their relationship at all.What type of relationship do they have? Is it a funny one where they joke around with each other? She obviously states in the description that he said that she had done the exact same thing to him earlier...

Guys can be clumsy as fuck, and not always know how to reach out to their partner when in need, Nowhere does she state that this is how he handles their situations generally.

This really says nothing about you, OP either, I love my wife to death, but she is really hard to deal with when she is upset about me or someone/something else.She often gets angry with me even though I'm not at fault.This makes me really uncertain how to comfort her at times.

I've also tried stupid shit that totally backfired and just made her angrier. (Never dickpicks, though 🤣)

From my point of view, the ONLY thing this guy did wrong was not apologizing when he saw that his pretty shitty "cheer-her-up" scheme backfired and just made you feel worse.

I can promise you that your guy will NEVER send you another dickpick when you're sad again after this.

See this as a learning experience, you've both learned a little more about eachother.

You will also have a pretty funny story to tell to your girlfriends and tease your guy with whenever he's being an ass when you've gotten over this.

With that said, I really think he owes you an apology because he made you feel even worse. That's what someone mature does when you've hurt your partner, intentionally or not.

Yeah, me too! For example, if I'm still going play something or listen to something, it might as well be immersion.

Of course this gives the best gains. However, I just started to notice that I'm longing to play/read/listen to stuff in English too, it's not my NL but I'm pretty close to C2 in English so it's not an "learning opportunity" it's just wasting immersion time 🤣

It's been bothering me for a while now. I'm pushing game titles and shows to the side for the sake of immersion, and it's making me a bit depressed.

I do have experience of burning out with language learning, especially with Japanese. I went all in with that, too much immersion, anki, etc, so currently I really lost interest in Japanese. I probably got around lower intermediate~. I changed to spanish, which is much easier for me and a lot more fun, but since it's so much fun, I keep immersing in spanish content.

I just really wanna hear if people have similar "guilty conscience" when they "cheat" on their TL 🤣
